Young liberal women are especially prone nowadays to reporting poor mental health. This was the discovery that Zach Goldberg made almost five years ago pouring over Pew data in the spring of 2020. Further research in 2022 found that depression had surged among liberal high school girls in the last decade-and-a-half, and much more so for them than other high schoolers, especially conservatives.
You see it too. Heck, everyone does. If I had to guess I'd say you know one or two close to you that are just like this.
Humans the world over are subject to the same biology, chemical imbalances, stresses, and crises even if they talk about that distress differently.
I doubt there's significantly more actual clinical depression amongst liberal white women than other demographics, even if they're more prone to use that language. I have zero doubt and agree liberal white women talk about it more.
I just have no idea why you obsess over it.
It would be like me on here for months bringing up underreporting of homosexuality amongst conservatives.
Kinda obvious there are social, cultural, religious, and political reasons and pressures about why that underreporting exists, that are analogous to the social and cultural influences that encourage liberal white women to openly discuss their mental health.
While mildly interesting, neither of those sub-topics would rate in the top 50 of relevant or important topics facing our country or that voters care about.
