I had issues a few years ago competing with them trying to buy a condo and it was a nightmare, so I admit I have some personal bias against those companies purchasing those properties.

My issue with the institutional investors is that they have gobbled up all the low to mid range priced properties, which has artificially inflated prices of what used to be considered starter properties. Not to mention every single new build I have seen recently around where I live has been absurdly priced.

Again, thats just my experience. Would love to see some concrete data on all of it to see where it leads.
