perhaps investigate is too harsh of a word. I do think it's worth asking the question of if there are conflicts related to her being a representative, just as I think that should be done for all legislators.

I'd certainly like to investigate how the Trump family doubled their net worth to $10 billion in the last 10 months. Any takers?

Nothing to do with going to the gym, everything to do with the preening.


You and me both, brother. I can only lift heavy once a week now days and I feel it for the rest of the week. Fell out of the 1000lb. club at 52…I'm too stiff and too slow to get under the bar now on heavy power cleans and that's what knocked me out of the club. Oh well, it was a good run.

Jeebus bro. Helluva run to keep the 1000 pound club up till 52. That's a feat at any age.

I never had the frame to powerlift so always trained more for functional strength with periodic heavier lifts. Did traditional splits into my late 30's but started really feeling it in my joints and also partially tore both labrums around that time (not in the gym) so the last 10 years have worked in way more HIIT. Shoulders and knees feel a lot better and it helps with V02 Max/cardio fitness too.

At the end of the day, we all just need to keep moving...when we stop doing that, **** goes downhill a lot faster!

Power lifting was never my thing, didn't see a practical application for it, I guess. These days, I still do 70 pound bicep hammer curls and overhead 100 pound triceps pumps, and for my lower back, too. Muscle mass loss gets underway in earnest when you hit 60. I do it because of that but also to protect my back when I had to dead-lift my late FIL off the floor when he took falls and because I don't want to look like a lardass while collecting Uncle Sam's shilling. I always admired the late Jack LaLanne who was still working out until 48 hours before his passing, at age 96, and I push the aerobic side pretty heavily, too.

God bless you. I would say major in the majors forget the accessory movements. Want to work bi's? Do pull up's (seated lat pull downs) works bi's and also back. Want to do tri's? Do your overhead press…works tri's, chest and shoulders. More bang for the buck in compound movements vs. accessory movements. I do admire you for doing the aerobic….i run like old people fck…slow, haha. I just walk, sometimes with a pack sometimes not. Cheers!

Yes, I need to do machine overhead lats, it's a weakness in my routine. To save my cartilage, I don't run anymore, it's hard on the knees at 260-plus pounds so I do hill climbing sims on ellipticals instead. Still get good a good heart and lung workout with that, though.
