Good letter by Patel.

Professional, respectful, supportive. Lays out a cogent vision.
It's a small sample size but this is a good example of effective communication we need from whichever appointee or party is leading.
Governance doesn't have to be an autistic grievance circus.
Was this before or after he publicly vowed to shut down FBI Headquarters on Day 1 and reopen it as a "museum of the deep state"?
I guess we're firmly in the Trump Era where saying things on TV doesn't count. Or is it more that MAGA conservatives are graded on such a steep curve that anything said on TV is just disregarded?
Some combination on the latter, and us needing to encourage even small and fleeting signs of sanity when we see them.
Gotta celebrate the small victories in life too Smapty!
WOW!! Civ, your last post was very positive. I hope you can keep that up. In fact, encouraging your cohort is a positive move, as well.
I plan to if Kash and his merry band of misfits keep behaving!
And you couldn't hold up for one post…
Sorry to disappoint Cary, but I run a performance-based org like TOB.
Simply put, several of Trump's appointments are highly questionable and that's putting it very mildly. Between them and Musk's completely maladjusted behavior, most of his major appointees or hires haven't exactly engendered trust.
Kash has said a whole bunch of loony **** so I was fairly shocked and pleasantly surprised that his first email seemed so sane and professional and spot-on in tone. I'm happy to give credit where it's due for prudent, considerate, pro behavior. I hope there's a lot more of that from him and other appointees in the coming weeks.
ETA: I also like him telling his people to not respond to Musk's bull**** "justify your existence in 5 bullet points" email. Patel and other heads going to bat for their people is a good move for a variety of reasons.
