I eagerly await the retraction that's never coming.

You've got a real gotcha there. Take this to the taxpayer and explain that their hard earned tax payments to the tune of nine million dollars actually went to Reuters "Data" to research *defenses* against deception and not to Reuters news division to actually deceive them. That will make them feel much better.

The problem is trying to convince Americans that these programs are necessary and not a complete waste of money on some of the dumbest programs and grants ever imaginable. I'm sorry, but you'll never convince the masses that these ridiculous programs are a good use of their tax dollars.

Civ, on a different subject, I would love for you to explain to me how these DEI programs all cost millions of dollars each. Every time they uncover a particular DEI program the total costs are in the millions. Why is that and what are we getting for these huge investments? DEI seems very pricey. What is the ROI on a million dollar DEI grant?

Nobody has any issues with eliminating actual waste or inefficiency.

Just stop calling that fraud.

Stop having Elon Musk, the guy with the biggest megaphone on the planet, and his VP Trump blast out daily tweets to 20 million people explicitly stating the American people are being defrauded and deceived by their government and the RADICAL LEFT at Reuters and other such programs and departments, only to have their misunderstanding of what the money was actually used for corrected (by others) minutes or hours later, after the damage from their initial communication about the alleged fraud has already been consumed and incorporated into an already-distrustful American public's increasingly false impression of their government.

This evidently was a four-year study that the Pentagon commissioned with Reuters that started in 2018, during Trump's first administration. The program yearly cost represents .0001% of our current yearly budget deficit. Not only was it not fraud or deception or anything close, but we would literally need to eliminate 1 million such yearly expenditures to balance the budget.

As far as DEI boogeyman programs go, you're not giving us any specific information so nobody is going to be able to render an opinion on it. What I do know is that I don't care if DEI programs are on the chopping block. Cut them if you want.

But I also know if these programs are a million or some small number of millions each, that's not where the action is with regard to cutting consequential waste. Cut them out and explain that the program was cut and just leave it at that get out of the fantasy land where we're calling expenditures you don't agree with "fraud."

Yep, Carville has really struggled since November. He certainly understands how far left the Democratic Party has gone and it seems to be in a hopeless tailspin. More and more everyday Democrats recognize that the leadership of their party has overplayed it's hand. Again, common sense people are tired of the corruption of government. Bottom line, when they see the waste of taxpayer money and what it is being spent on - enough is enough. I hope all politicians and bureaucrats that are responsible for this misuse of public funds and the motives behind them are exposed and where appropriate are punished to the fullest extent of the law if that is warranted!

Right, just send out the information when fully vetting. Whether it's $100 or $1T, DOGE is doing what it is suppose to do. So just tell the truth and do the work and hen post what it is you found.

Civ, here is what I'm trying to reconcile:

Loudon County Virginia is one of, if not the most wealthy counties in the US
NGO's receive a good amount of the funding that was exposed within USAID
NGO's receive a good amount of the funding that supports programs within the Federal Government
Loudon County Virginia is one of, if not the most wealthy counties in the US

I don't care what anyone says, especially you as your information is going to be slanted to fit the lefts narrative. It doesn't and should make sense, to anyone, why the area around DC is so wealthy.

I am a free market person, so I believe in wealth creation; however, free market is just that. If my hypothesis (above) is correct, this has nothing to do with a free market; rather, it has all to do with corruption.

In general, I agree with you…. Now, consider how much scrutiny DOGE is receiving and think, maybe… they feel as if they need to justify their action, thus, the releasing of information.

Just look at our very own Civ, who most of us believe is a capable person… He is referring to Elon as President and Trump as VP. On a small scale, we have to see the idiocy of Civ's comments; whereas, on a large scale, Trump has to receive the idiocy of the political pundits comments.

Personally, I can see why they are wanting to provide transparency within their actions. I think the USAID was a starting point to find what we all know is happening, corruption. NO WAY SHOULD LOUDON COUNTY AND AREAS AROUND DC BE SOME OF THE WEALTHIEST AREAS IN THIS COUNTRY!!!

You know civ is just desperate for a win on the message board, hence "President Elon". It's pretty sad really that those guys feel so at a loss with all of the winning this administration has provided so far. Party before country, per usual.

I do think Civ is probably a smart person. That said, he and others (more liberal people) talk crap about Were, GP, and others, only to stoop to the level they accuse them of being…

Now, I know we all can have our moments; however, the smarter than thou mindset is ironic, when you actually read what they post.

They can do better as we can do better! Who has the will to do it?
