Hokie, I really think you've missed the true context of some of the people here…. Scott Bessent.. I didn't know he was Gay. That said, nothing about that reflects on his ability to perform his job accordingly. In fact, one of my favorite Republicans is Gay, Ric Grenell. Aside from his agreement on tariffs, which I don't think grow the economy and cost money rather than raises money, and does nothing to add manufacturing to the US, I love his 3-3-3 plan of reducing spending 3%, increasing gdp 3%, and producing an additional 3 million barrels of oil a day.

As far as Scott Bessent goes, almost anybody, that's anybody, in the financial world, has worked for Soros. Skull and Bones, well, I have no idea whether he did or didn't. At this point, if he has a different perspective than Trump, doesn't that align with what the legacy media wants? They complain about the "Yes" people and Trump being an autocratic leader.
As I look at this cabinet, I believe we have a far more appropriate cabinet to pull off the platform in which Trump wants.
On to your other post, no one wants to see people lose their jobs, without cause. That said, the Federal Government is way too bloated and needs to be shrunk. Let's simplify taxes and regulations and hope people land in the private sector. Another reason for immigration to be curtailed. I'm not talking about illegals; rather legal work visa's in positions that could be filled by former federal employees.
Now, it's time to focus on North Carolina. Unfortunately, we will have another four years of potential DEI thinking leaders that will stunt the type of growth we could have with different leadership. Too many northerners moving here and bringing their voting habits. For those that don't follow, downtown Cary has turned into an elitist left winged hangout.
