The lines were long.

Apparently the Bank Regulators(the government) would threaten to hold these banks accountable if they did not do what they were told. People can't get banking, get their credit cards cancelled, their business loans stopped and so on. Soon the banks are controlling what you can and can't do all because the government said to do it. It's the World Economic Forum playbook all the way.
