Bombs don't cost near as much to the American tax payer as what the guy you voted for and the cartels have done.

I don't really think it would require too many strikes. Take out the two or three biggest cartels with precision strikes and watch everyone else fall in line, including corrupt officials and law enforcement.
Sounds like a winning plan. I mean, hanging people off of bridges had a good effect on the cartels. I guess all of them just up and quit. Started avocado farms.

And since the fentynal comes from China, will you bomb those plants too?

Big decisions for you guys.
But its your lunch time now, and I'm sure a nap right after. Then you can get back to work.

So just keep on doing what we're doing? I think most Americans voted for a change because something needs to change.

No nap here, enjoying the day too much. I'm off for 10 more days before my next rotation. Going to Germany, Kuwait and back to Germany.

You aren't fit to carry my flight bag, boy.

While President Biden pardons his crackhead son, President Trump is ready to take names and whip @$$.

So when Biden takes a tough foreign policy stance, he's starting World War III but when Trump does it, he's Robocop-in-Chief taking names and whipping ass?

LOL

Pure rational consistency right there.

I'm not the one that accused Biden of trying to start WWIII.

Those on here that did can explain why Trump telling Hamas there will be 'hell to pay' is fun times, and not the alleged war hawking they accused the Biden Administration of.

How do you know what I am? I don't post enough for you to have a clue.

Can I not play the game like you? Or is this just an echo chamber for certain people who think a certain way.

Having a different opinion is the best thing for a free society. You do want a free society don't you?

Engage people. Don't assume or just call names.
Lol, the Water Cooler is most definitely just an echo chamber for certain people who think a certain way... they love to spew talking points 10 times a day but aren't interested in or capable of any kind of debate. Any deviation from the MAGA circle jerk will get you on a bunch of these guys' ignore lists instantly.

As you just discovered, "TheStorm" is a particularly delicate flower.
Yeah, its pretty funny but doesn't bother me in the least. I have friends and family who are pretty hardcore MAGA who I love dearly. Just can't take them too seriously.

And the 180,000 Amish Voters is still the most classic post on the entire board!!

The Storm can just ask me who I voted for. I don't mind one bit. My record goes back to 1984.
Who did you vote for?

My first election was 1984 and I voted for Reagan. Helms a couple timeslater for Senator. Voted for Hunt in 92.
To make it easy, I've voted Republican for every Presidential election, including the last three.

My favorite politician of all time is Margret Thatcher.

Voted for Stein this term for the same reason most people did. But our governor has no power so I hope he can at least slow things down.
I believe you need opposition in government. Too much power for one party leads to extremes and are usually voted out two years later. Then everything swings the other way.

So that's my voting record. Probably close to yours and the majority of people on this board.

The GOP controls the statehouse but some GOP voters are increasingly dissatisfied with those they elected….gambling, Medicare expansion, hospital and developer lobbies buying representatives…when enough GOP voters sit out an election, 2010 will reverse itself. Not that I expect Dems will learn any lessons from their decades of corruption prior to 2010 should they be fortunate enough to regain control of the GA. But the proof whereof I speak already happened in Vance and Granville Counties where their GOP representative wasn't looking after their interests….so they skipped that part of the ballot or voted Libertarian to get rid of the guy and in the process, broke the supermajority.

Who knows what Trumps policy will be this time around with Israel, we will see though. Biden had no policy with Israel other than what works for him for political expediency. He royally screwed up the October 7 massacre and should have just let Israel do what they needed to do against Hamas which would have ended the war quickly and hopefully brought back all the hostages.

By signaling that the Biden Admin was unsupportive of Israel, they prolonged the conflict by years trying to convince themselves that Hamas wanted a ceasefire.

I think there are no more hostages alive, but maybe there is a sliver of hope and I hope the new administration can do something about it.

Fine and dandy good sir but I'll ask again. If you were a betting man would you bet Trumps Israel policies will be more or less favorable than Biden's?

Edit to add. If our American hostages are dead there will be hell to pay. Please believe that.

Going to leave this right here for my good friend hokie.

Edit: dated 11/26

When Trump doesn't get what he wants in this truth, and backs it up, then I'll believe that the relationship will be just fine.

Which by the way, would be the opposite of what MAGA folks claim they want. This Truth is not a means to America First isolationism. I'm all for it.

Obviously, the situations are different.

Yet, it's clear we have needs both to support Israel and the return of hostages, and also resist Putin's invasion and annexation of Ukraine. Russia holding US hostages is not a prerequisite to us caring about and being invested in and impacted by outcomes there.

I've said my piece on Trump going into this election. He won the election. I've been quiet on here the last three weeks. I'm not going to run around getting excited about hypotheticals that stem from his constant blathering or from his wild adminstration and cabinet picks before he's even in office.

In two months he has to govern, not just talk, and he'll be judged on the results of said governance.

No, I have been paying attention, and isolating from the rest of the world and retreating from the obligation to be the shining beacon on the hill for democracy in the world, which includes being part of the global economy and being the world super power is also part of the agenda.

Putin bad. Putin real bad. Putin real real bad. I get it. Next to President Trump, he's the biggest bad guy in history.

I don't get worked up when he takes a part of Ukraine filled with millions of Russians and who have not voted in Ukrainian Parliamentary elections in decades. Wait so you don't think 'Putin bad?'

When he rigs elections to keep himself in power, murders opposition leaders, disappears adversaries, cracks down on civil liberties, starts wars that kill many hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians by invading sovereign nations and commits war crimes in Chechnya and Ukraine including potential genocide all while controlling the biggest nuclear arsenal in the world, you don't think that qualifies for being 'real bad?'

If not, what would it take? Him bombing Pearl Harbor?

How did we get to a place where you and Tucker Carlson and many other Americans glibly downplay the invasive, anti-democratic, murderous actions of our biggest adversaries?

And what is Putin's stated reason for conducting a military invasion of an adjacent sovereign, democratic state, again? My recall is that he didn't even mention annexing a small portion of the nation because the Russian speakers that live there don't vote in Ukrainian elections. It was a bunch of gobbledy-gook about Ukrainian leaders being Nazis that were persecuting Russians in Ukraine.

We all know Putin started the war for a variety of self-serving reasons, none of which justify hundreds of thousands of deaths and potential genocide.

How many America hostages does Russia hold? How many have they killed?

I know you can't think straight when it comes to your new President Trump but you do see that difference right?

Yes, obviously. The situation is way different and your comparison was farcical and you better believe holding and killing American hostages IS worth a strong response.

Putin bad. Putin real bad. Putin real real bad. I get it. Next to President Trump, he's the biggest bad guy in history.

I don't get worked up when he takes a part of Ukraine filled with millions of Russians and who have not voted in Ukrainian Parliamentary elections in decades. You make it sound like he's taken the entire country and moving into Romania and Poland now. You ever notice the moves Putin makes are when we have democrats in the White House?

I think it was President Obama who said the 80's called and wanted their foreign policy back? He also said Ukraine holds no strategic importance for the U. S. Was he wrong or just incompetent?

One thing is for sure President Trump can't do any worse than what we have now.
So you're good with Mexico annexing parts of Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas because they were once part of Mexico? It's the same thing. Ukraine is a sovereign nation that was attacked by Russia simply because Putin has a warped since of history.

We as the largest democracy in the world and a world superpower have an obligation to protect against that sort of aggression, whether we like the government of Ukraine or not.

The good people of AZ, NM and TX at least vote in American elections. The people in regions Putin captured have not voted in decades. Why?

Like I said to Civ, if you feel we are obligated to protect Ukraine when are you joining up to do your part?
Thats such a cop out argument. The premise remains the same. Putin attacked Ukraine because he felt like it, not to "liberate Russian speaking people in Ukraine". You buy that garbage to? That werewolf type stuff. Are you also good with the US retreating as a world superpower? Because that's what is going to happen.

"Joining up," in what exactly? The military doesn't have boots on the ground there. The whole idea is to prevent that.

So you want us to "join up" as engineers in the companies that produce the supplies and arms being sent to Ukraine?

If Putin just wants to free the non voting Russian public, why send missiles and troops into Ukraine to attack civilians?

I'm sure you could volunteer as a foreign fighter for the Ukrainian army. They need all the help they can get and you feel strongly about stopping Putin.

He wants to reclaim all of the historical Russian territory. I don't need to read his mind, he's said it himself, to your Guy Tucker Carlson.

So that includes all of Eastern Europe including NATO countries. Maybe we should just hand it all over to him. Hes such a good, strong, admirable dictator
