Yeah, I'm not agreeing with that whatsoever… the only reason that you came over to the WC to begin with was to jump into the fray with him (and then you liked it and stayed). You guys got onto the wrong side of each other from the very start - and some of that was definitely on you… at the end of the day it turned out that you and he agreed on far more than you would have initially liked to admit, but neither one of you could ever get past that start that you had with each other, although I did see you try a couple of times along the way.hokiewolf said:Truth is the only one to blame for this guys ban was himself. Unfortunately, some of the people that got their buttons pushed by BBW acted just as bad, even worse at times. But, the truth is, he debated with facts and opinions based on those facts. Can't say the same for everyone that aided in his ban. Sad times!
Glass and RWW can say whatever they want about "not being able to ban" but that was not initially true. They both had a hard on for BBW from the very start, and the "I know nothing" stance is… well… disingenuous. I'll leave it at that.
I don't have any problems with either one of them outside of the way they interacted with BBW. You are either a moderator, or a participant - you can't be both and then do the same things that you tell others they can't… listen, BBW is gone - maybe he'll be back some day, and maybe he won't - for now anyway, we all need to put the past in the past and leave it there.
This is a good forum overall (on the best State site on the internet, by the way) with good participants and good moderators. We just need to find better ways to disagree with each other sometimes.
I came over to the water cooler because I found some of the topics interesting. I didn't come over here to specifically engage a poster. I Stand by the fact that I tried to engage with discourse and was constantly told I was dumb and that I should "go get my shine box". So, no I disagree with you on all your points.
I do admit I poked fun at his posting style but I never took things personal, whereas most posts and every response was met with insults and belittling.
I do not understand why a bunch of smart posters here continue to ignore that behavior. I engage with each of you on agreed and disagreed points and don't have any issues with any of you because you interact with respect and discourse.
BBW would still be on this forum if he did the same.

I don't think anyone ever got to vote on it to begin with. I think they have avoided having a vote on it until they could railroad Manchin into agreeing to it, and that hasn't happened.

"Smart posters" have never ignored that behavior… we just didn't agree that it was something that he should have been banned for. BBW made himself a target for sure, but he was good for the WC boards in general and he should have been permitted to continue posting here… his biggest downfall was not disengaging from the constant back and forth with RWW - and to a lesser extent Glass.
Not interested in getting into it with you over this, but I disagree that you don't feel you had a role in "poking at the hornet's nest with a stick" on an ongoing basis… and yeah, I'm sure that most of it after a certain point in time was purely for fun and ongoing entertainment - but at the end of the day, that's how you should have looked at it.
I agree with far more of what you post here than I disagree, but to think that you weren't "an" (note that I didn't say "the") antagonist in that relationship is incorrect.
That was the other problem with the entire thing. The democrats didn't even put together the whole bill. I don't agree with the spending but at least tell me exactly how your going to spend the money. Its just like with State athletics. We constantly hear that we should be giving more money but almost everyone here complains that we haven't seen any type of plan.
