My only concern with the new direction of the GOP is the populism turn. I just feel like it's starting to get to be a bit overwhelming and the message gets missed by those who aren't following politics closely.
I'm interested to see if the party updates it's platform in the coming months to get ready for 2022.
It has to be reigned in at some point and I don't disagree.
But... the left has swung the pendulum so far it is, and you are among the ones that have chided me for this, the
SOCIALIST PARTY.
Anyone that took a Civics class in 9th Grade before education reform in the mid-2000's can attest to that. Every policy, program, bill etc... they are initiate revolves around big government and keeping the "poor" dependent with all of the "programs" designed to help them not be poor.
How is the subsidized unemployment working? 18.1 million job openings and people flat out saying they make more money staying home and living off the government.
The populist movement will continue as long as we have hyper-partisanship in D.C. Dear Leader started it in 2008 and President Trump fanned the flames.
The MSM is, and I challenge anyone to deny, fanning the flames and IS the propaganda arm of the left. Always has been. President Trump merely called them out for it and with social media it was made evident on a hourly basis.
There is where the populist movement is being fueled.
We are witnessing a "re-structuring" of the parties before our eyes. The working class is moving right and the Cheney's of the world are moving left.
Fact.
Good point.
Cocaine and waffles.
