State and federal election officials, along with experts in the private sector, said they had "utmost confidence in the security and integrity" of the Nov. 3 vote, as President Donald Trump continues to make unfounded claims of fraud and key security officials involved in protecting elections leave the administration or expect to be fired.

"The Nov. 3rd election was the most secure in American history," the officials said in a statement Thursday. "There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised."

The statement was signed by officials from the Elections Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council, which shares information among state, local and federal officials, and the Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Council, which includes election infrastructure owners and operators.

Among the 10 signatories were Benjamin Hovland, who chairs the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, and Bob Kolasky, the assistant director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, part of the Department of Homeland Security.

Political reasons yes. He used campaign monies for hush money.

The Trump campaign gave Georgia officials four names that they said were dead people voted. Two of those names Georgia officials said no votes were cast for them. The other two they are looking into. So this is the long list of names that the Trump backers are talking about of dead people voting. Not four. Just two in the state of Georgia and this is widespread fraud? And we don't know what the story is on those two. Maybe it was somebody trying to do wrong. Maybe not. Wide Spread Fraud? Come on.

Oh I am sure the Trump Campaign has names from other states also. Might Be six from Arizona. Holy crap that will change an election. Hey if someone has voted illegal. Go get them and punish them to the full extent of the law. Saying it changed this election is just not correct.

Trump is sitting dejected in the White House trying to figure out how he is going to move forward. Trump TV? Possible. Just what America needs another celebrity reality TV show. My bets are court rooms and lawyer meeting for him for the next 18 months as his bad ways catch up to him as he no longer has the office of President to protect him from prosecution. Of course maybe he will try to pardon himself. No he is not a crook.

That's true. Totally true.

However, the Trumpists are just as weak-minded and gullible.

I have friends who have announced on FB and other places that they are "going underground, everyone be safe, things are happening soon" and think they know some inside info about all the behind-scenes maneuvering by the Trump team.

When nothing could be further from the truth...they are simply being duped by all these BS claims about fraud that get repeated and retweeted and the 'true believers' buy into them because these things are saying what they desperately want to hear.

These are very smart people, otherwise, but they turn their brains off critical thinking mode when it comes to Trump's BS. Same way the left does when it comes to overlooking the media bias and anything the Dems say......they're really no different, just two sides of the same coin.

Used to not be like that so much. Pubs would turn on their own and attack if they found a rat, like State fans used to, for the most part. Dems never really did that, much like UNC fans....they supported their party no matter what they did.
If you're a fair-minded person with an open, honest mind...then IMO you cannot do such things. You have to call out BS (or at least admit that's what it is) when you see it, even if it's from someone you have supported.
