See the dark blue at the top. Those are the pediatric admits. Where are all these emergency pediatric cases? In the ditches and parking lots as they are being turned away in droves?

Or are they coming to use emergency resources for testing or because parents are afraid? They are not using them to actually be admitted?

Highest number of new coronavirus cases? By what definition? Even if you add up all pediatric age groups as defined by reporting, they are fewer than the single age group of 25-49? For the last week of reported demographics.



Also note, while the percentile of the overall cases may be creeping up in the under 18s.... the actually RAW number of cases is decreasing.

All this information is available on the dashboard? Why is Tilson misrepresenting it, and why is WRAL not calling her on it?






Really. For the 7 days ending 9/13 NC DHHS shows 57 pediatric admits WITH COVID. For the 7 days ending 9/6 NC DHHS showed 53 pediatric admits WITH COVID.

And funny that HHS COVID-19 Reported Patient Impact and Hospital Capacity by State Timeseries showed while elevated pediatric hospitalizations WITH COVID peaked 2 weeks ago.



Why can't NC DHHS not lie and just say that things are remain elevated and concerning but may be decreasing. Things did rise quickly, but we are past peak and decreasing.



This is the problem. Public health is spinning a tale, instead of telling plain truth, even when serious.

It is all narrative for narrative sake, not black and white numbers. This is why there is no trust.

That is absolutely NOT what Tilson said, she did claim they had the highest percent of ED visits (I assume within an age range) for "COVID LIKE ILLNESS"

CLI IS NOT CORONAVIRUS.

We just went through a MASSIVE RSV spike..... maybe... just maybe it was RSV that is COVID LIKE..... NOT COVID.

Because when we look at the % age breakdown for ED visits with ACTUAL DIAGNOSED COVID. Those percentages don't quite play out the same.



Sorry for ranting. But I HATE HATE HATE when public health and then media can't convey information and data correctly.

It isn't that hard at all. All the information is there.... why do they even bother to spew nonsense data when they can't do so with proper context.

Hypocrisy is evidence that the agenda you promote is tyrannical -- ie, those who promote it don't want to apply those principles/requirements to themselves, but only want to impose those principles/requirements on others.

So, for example, you have tyrannical governors imposing mask mandates, who then are caught over and over again out partying and in public without a mask. Took a flight today on AA from Charlotte to Jackson Hole. They did the usual announcements on the flight about wearing masks correctly and federal law, etc. The pilot came on about half way or so and gave a pretty angry-sounding plea, where he emphasized compliance w/federal law and wearing them correctly.

About 20 minutes before landing, he came back on, and told everyone when we landed, to stay seated, because law officials had to come on the plane to take off a passenger who did not comply.

I'd have expected to hear some kind of ruckus if it got to that point (we were sitting on the wing), but never did so seemed pretty surprising. So they took off a guy and his older son got up and went off with him. Saw him at the rental car counter (so they clearly didn't "arrest" him), and heard him ask the agent what it would cost to rent a one way back to Charlotte....that he had been banned from flying on AA. He told the guy it was all because he "wore his mask like this", which was pretty much hanging on his lips.

Seemed a bit extreme....I don't know if he'd been a jerk about it, or crossed some other line, but it certainly wasn't like some of the videos we've seen, and there was no jeering/cheering when he was escorted off. But also clear message....if you're gonna protest this ordinance, don't do it on a plane!

Most of the scenes I have seen from videos appear to be before take-off. I'm sure the attendants are instructed not to make a scene when the plane is in the air for the panic it could cause.

Great point - but I was thinking more of the passenger making a fuss. But I did have head phones on listening to music, so may have missed. I do know when the pilot made his announcement, no panic, but there sure was a lot of murmuring in the aisles near us, lol

I will be taking my first airline flight (since the pandemic started) in a few weeks, when I fly to my son's game at Syracuse. I have to take two flights each way. I fly to Reagan National and change planes there for the flight to Syracuse. I hope my four flights are not as eventful as yours.

We did just find out that proof of vaccination (or a negative Covid test) are going to be required to attend the game at Syracuse and at Boston College. For BC, we can upload our proof of vaccination ahead of time. I assume for Syracuse, I will just need to take my vaccination card. For Syracuse, they are also requiring all fans to wear a mask the entire time we are inside the dome. Seems strange to me to require this, if they are requiring proof of vaccination or negative test, but it is NY and they have banned the use of science in that state.

No word yet on the game at Army, but I suspect it will not be as strict, since it is an outdoor game. We are also driving to West Point from Raleigh for the game. Plane flights and rental cars are crazy right now, so it is easier to drive to NY. At least for that trip, I will not have to deal with the masking on airplane rules.

It was interesting yesterday -- right up til that incident, the whole covid thing was a non-thought at the airport, checkin, on the plane. I mean, people had masks on, and the self-check kiosks had a pop-up message asking about health. But no vaccination cards, nothing like that --- which was quite a bit different from my international travel earlier in the summer, where vaccination cards and/or negative test results were required.

We did overhear a guy from NYC sitting next to us at dinner last night telling our waitress, a young local lady who told them she wanted to travel to NY to see shows....to wait a year. She was unvaccinated, and they told her everything in NYC was very strict about that. Based on your Syracuse story, that is true for other parts of the state as well. I'd be interested to know how the more rural areas of NY state are handling.

I actually did hear a specific announcement when we were starting to board that you can no longer wear the gaiter type mask. Clearly, it also doesn't have to be the n95 mask, but more of a "true" mask as opposed to one putting a t-shirt over their face.

The big emphasis -- and why the guy got in trouble, was they were adamant about wearing it correctly over the nose.

Depends on the agent when you are checking your bag. I've flown a dozen or more times. All Delta. I wear the gators. Haven't worn a mask yet. The only times I have had to wear a mask has been when I check a bag inside the terminal and a jack ass lefty is demanding that I put on a surgical mask. I cooperate because you know how the lefty's are about power tripping. After I clear his view I put on the gator and trash the mask. ZERO issues going through security, boarding or during the flights.

It's all about power and control from the left. If they are so concerned now about children dying then why don't they clean up some of their lefty cities? Here's a little bit of information some of the comrades on here may find interesting.

As I have mentioned before, massive dose of the need to 'appear to do something' out of leaders, of ego (unable to admit NPIs were mostly useless), mixed in with a whole bunch of sunk cost fallacy and Stockholm syndrome out of the masses.
