Marohn supposed to go tomorrow, per gopack. A TBD on Sunday though

Damn it. Was obviously worried about Marohn's health so that's good. But there is absolutely no reason to take Coop out of the weekend rotation.

That's a possibility. My thought was that with the increase in competition, if we needed to go Coop out of the pen one of the first two days, we could do that and start Heath on Sunday, or vice versa, thus the TBD for Sunday. An effort to have all of your best arms available for the weekend, but I could be totally wrong.

I like the strategy. We now have an extra arm to use this weekend. Whether CC or Andrews starts remains to be seen. But having either one available to come in early in relief if needed is a big advantage.

This was my first thought when I saw Garino get the nod on Tuesday. Heath has been throwing really well (so has Cooper) and having both available for the weekends would be nice.

Having both available is great. But why go TBD on the Sunday starter?

I'm not sure how they are reporting it either. They for the most part haven't been doing this for OOC games

Having a high leverage lefty in the pen is never a bad thing.

Yeah agree. Only 4 lefties on the staff. Potts had a pretty rough go against Lafayette, but he got outs last year as a true left on left only guy.

Can't use Marohn.

So that leaves Hemric and Cooper. Hemric is going to be really good, but Coop has thrown on the biggest stages. Hemric also only threw the one inning against Elon, which is different than his past appearances where they stretched him out.

Seems like they've been building to use Marohn, Dudan, Andrews/Consiglio, Nance, & Black as the main arms on weekends with spot work from Hemric, Kitchens, & Garino if necessary. It really is one hell of a pitching staff when you lay it out.. Harris & Heintz have looked really good. I'm a Truitt Manuel believer - and those guys probably won't pitch leverage ACC innings but I'd be comfortable with them as options.

Did not realize BC will start three lefties this series, don't love that.

BC starting 3 lefties this weekend so probably another reason for Bonn to get the nod. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lanphere against a righty late in the game.

Well I would normally agree but Avent has rarely platooned.

And Lanphere through his career has had reverse splits.

He did it the other day. Took out Rett against a lefty late for Peiffer and moved Sherman out to the OF

Rett needs to play everyday. I'm talking about late in the game for a single AB like Cal mentioned
