Jacob Dudan is the expected starter. Pack is 1-0 coming off a 13-0 run rule against Washington.

With all the Rhett Johnson hype talk I was a little surprised not to see him. Makes me wonder if him and McHugh split time in left or they just make him wait his turn?

Sherman probably feeling stressed already after making an error at third. Didnt think Ryan looked great at short either but they both hit.

Washington did not look great and probably on par or worse than someone like UNCG.

Looking forward to seeing how Dudan looks tomorrow.

Did they put that error on Johnson? Bargo straight dropped the throw at first IMO

ETA: looks like they only officially scored one error and it was the weird hop Luke took to the face

I thought they ruled it an error but I guess not. Looked like he snow coned it out of the glove and didn't get a good throw on it live.

They also ruled the ball that ate up Ryan a hit, might have been their score keeper tonight lol.

Non state related and be warned but this is brutal. I've never seen that actually happen in a game before.

I remember it happening against Elon once. Kid from Fairnont turned to celebrate with his dugout and tore his ACL on a jump. Crazy.

Seriously! More of a warning would have been nice! Like "his lower leg is going to snap like a twig" kind of warning!

My guess is an out just like if you missed a bag. Assuming here but I would guess BC would have to appeal not touching the bag at second and he would be considered out.

My question is does he have to take an HR? Crawl to second call timeout and say that is all he wants. Doubt it but why not.

Or crawl all the way to home if he could withstand the pain.

Runner on first his run counts. Unless the batter can circle the bases it's ruled a single and a out.

Lol I said "Be warned, this is brutal."

Sorry though, I should have went into more detail.

And apparently the run scored/counted.

Does BC need to appeal?

I don't know about college, but I'm pretty sure a role exists in MLB for this specific scenario where they allow a pinch runner to run from the last base the hitter reached. But I may be wrong.

I remember a situation a few years ago during a women's softball game. Not sure if it was college or high school, but the batter hit a home run, then blew her knee out or something similar and the other team helped her around the bases. If her team helped her that would be an out for aiding a baserunner.

The runner on base for Seton Hall would absolutely have scored. Not sure if the batter could have made it to second, if they could put a pinch runner in there. I umpired for many years and never had a similar situation occur. We did have a guy break his leg sliding into home in a men's softball tournament. I believe he broke two bones and it sounded like a rifle shot. I think he was out at the plate anyway, but do not remember. That was right at 30 years ago.

Celebrate when you get to the plate is the lesson here. Especially on a turf field. If they counted the run on the one yesterday, I would like to know how it was done. Glass was right. If he couldn't at least get to a base then he would be out.

This story says they were able to put in a pinch runner to circle the bases. Apparently in the rules to do so. The ball was not in play since he hit the homer, so they can make the switch.

I have been playing/watching baseball for about 65+ years and I'll never get used to fielders catching pop-ups and fly balls with glove only.

Not in college. Pretty sure someone from BC could carry him around and touch the bases but that's it

Is it just me or does it look like bargo is dangerously close to stepping off the bag before receiving the throw?
