It took a few innings, but we finally made them pay for all the walks, plus the one hit batsman. Once we got a few big hits to plate those walks, the flood gates opened. First two innings were scary when we did not get but one run after 6 or 7 free passes.
Big game by Sosa at the plate.
Dudan's slider is nasty and the fastball in the 8th blew the guy away. I worry about him using that slider too much because it can lead to serious injuries. His fastball is also a good weapon to be used.
3rd baseman for Louisville had a great defensive night. He made several very difficult plays look fairly routine.
Finally, the top of the 9th was awesome. I think Dudan only threw 4 pitches and Ty Head only had to move about 10 to 15 steps to catch all three outs. Don't think I have ever seen an outfielder have to do so little to catch three balls.
And one question, why was the foul ball off of Heavner not reviewable? Is that not a reviewable play.? One of the field umpires should have noticed it and I could see that it went off of him right away.
