Kalae Harrison (@CotuitKettleers | @NCStateBaseball | '23) had two hits yesterday in what is now his second summer on Cape. Hit .313 this spring while walking more than he struck out. Great defense on the dirt in both middle infield spots. @B_Sakowski_PG #PGCape pic.twitter.com/3YxBYLRIfB

Derrick Smith had a nice start this week. Going 6 innings giving up 0 runs on 4 hits. For the summer Smith has gone 18 innings given up 15 hits, 10 Ks (which is a low number), but only 3 walks for a 2.50 ERA and a WHIP of 1.00.
He has a nice arm, so it's nice to see him doing well this summer.

He's back home Is that a tough league? I think he's got some talent too. Hopefully he can put it together and become a sp for us.
Jacob Cozart (‘24, Elig) shows great flexibility behind the dish, and the @NCStateBaseball catcher uses his length to his advantage #CNT pic.twitter.com/VJShQkTl5b

I'm pretty high on Kalae after last season. I feel like he was our best "surprise" along with Fritton.pack2010 said:
Rio Britton 2 scoreless tonight. for the summer- 8 innings, 2 ER, 6 hits, 6Ks 4 walks.
Kalae Harrison with 2 more hits tonight. He is now hitting .355 for the summer. Interesting numbers, b/c as good as that average is, he has 0 extra base hits (in 31 ABs) and 0 walks (to 9 strike outs).
Rio Britton (@FalCommodores | @NCStateBaseball | '23) pitched 2 innings of scoreless relief last night. FB 89-92 w/ 2 breaking balls, the CB 79-80 and the SL more lower 80's. Started his career w/ 2 seasons at Oregon and spent last spring in the NC State bullpen#PGCape pic.twitter.com/lbIXi61WH3
