If an umpire has that much of an ego where if you walk to first or the catcher starts heading to the dugout, and that changes the call, then you should not be umpiring.

Extremely frustrating that walk in the downpour was the difference. Man, the rain totally stops in the bottom of the ninth. You gotta delay that game in the top half. No excuse for not delaying for 20 minutes.

Unfortunately in a game like that, you are left up to the damn weather. We walk a guy in the pouring rain and then the rain lightens up for the holes to pitch.
