I'd take a 3 seed in Hattiesburg everyday. Theoretically would play the lowest national seed if we were to advance. Best scenario given what we played ourselves into.

If NCSU wins ACC Tourney are they still a regional 3 seed? I would hate that if you are a 1 seed hosting to have to play that level of competition. That means the 2 seed and the 3 seed are top notch teams.

Despite what the announcers have been saying this week, it's normally accepted that the conference tourney results don't do a lot for your seeding. I still wanna win it though.

I highly doubt they would give a number 1 seed a team in their regional that was 2-0 against them in the regular season. Of course they sent the 1 seed lady pack to Connecticut.

They were on the bubble at the start of our series, but they beat us, wake, and swept FSU to close the year. We basically swapped trajectories with them that weekend, as we were being discussed as a host at that time. A lot can change in a few weeks in baseball. Our RPI wasn't helped by cancelled games against ND and CCU, nor by mid week losses.

The seed shifting is pretty crazy in baseball, it feels like basketball bubble season on steroids.

I mean, Fitt was even acknowledging Wake as a possible host yesterday after needing to beat us 2/3 last weekend to even be in the tourney.



Just win and it will sort itself out, we're probably going to be a 2 regardless if we beat Pitt.

It is wild to see Wake, who was one of the last four in a week ago on D1 to being discussed as a host now. And UNC being discussed as a host when they're unranked and 15-15 (8th place) in the ACC...

I think it would be great. ECU has feasted on sub par teams and isn't nearly as good as whatever crazy win streak they are on. Due to lose. And that type of payback would be fun as hell. We are better than them as we have proven twice already.

I'll take being the most talented team of the 4 and have a hostile crowd compared to somewhere else where we may not be the most talented team and still be cheered against all weekend just like you would at ECU
