D1 projecting 4 1 seeds and 4 2 seeds from ACC.

Ridiculously good baseball conference.

State was at least mentioned in the podcast as a potential host. Have to keep winning.

Keep winning. If not host, stay out of Tennessee bracket.

This is a wide, wide open year outside of the Vols, who look like far and away No. 1.

For instance, VT is the projected 3/4 seed overall. Are we that far off of them even without Sam? They are going to be tight as hell hosting for the first time ever and don't have anything special on the mound.

A realistically attainable scenario is hosting as the 12/13 seed (or traveling to S. Miss/Gonzaga) and then traveling to VT or Miami for Supers.

heard today that 2021 College World Series champion Mississippi State will not qualify for SEC tournament

And NC State is probably still OK, but the Wolfpack has slid into precarious ground at No. 40 in the RPI, with a 14-14 mark in the ACC. Saturday's series finale might wind up being a very big game for NC State, which needs to avoid a sweep.

Probably safe to say that if we go 0-2 in Charlotte we'll be left out.

We can beat Wake at Miami. Bring the bats to go along with solid pitching from Willadsen and Whitaker and we can advance.

I'd say things might level out in that Wake game from this past weekend, and Miami is definitely gettable.

Obviously work to be done, but its nice to get ours out of the way Tues/Weds and let our bullpen (Villaman) get some rest before the weekend if we are fortunate enough to win both.

We need to start Villaman Tuesday. It's important to get a lead after playing from behind 3 games. He threw 40 pitches last weekend. Let him go 6 and take it from there.

Need to win 1 game to get into the ncaa tourney. That's the first goal. Go all out Tuesday to get it.

If we lose the opener, our game against Miami is meaningless for them so they will throw their D squad to save arms for Wake + the weekend. That gives us some advantage on Wednesday in what presumably would be Whitaker's start.

Today's bracket update in D1 and BA has ECU hosting in Greenville.

That's probably our spot honestly. Us or UNC certainly.

One had us at Southern Miss (yes please) and the other in Maryland (sure). Both had UNC in Greenville.

Ugh. They are so insufferable as a host. They show up to cheer AGAINST us, regardless of who we are playing, as much as they do to cheer FOR their own team. Then they say we are "scared" when EA points out why we don't want to play in that regional.
