when the no penalty for a transfer rule came out, I was told that baseball would be affected the most. Baseball players play so much on different teams and leagues there is so much contact with other players and coaches and turnover

Marlins twitter isn't 100% convinced he signs. A lot of things I have read, per them, say 60-70% chance he signs.

Me personally? 99.999% chance he signs. But imagine...

Carter Stewart is the last one I can remember. Braves drafted him 8th overall in 2018 but low balled him on the bonus due to an injury, Stewart didn't sign and went to a FL JUCO instead. The kid ended up signing a multi-year deal with a Japanese team instead going back into the draft in 2019.

Phil Bickford drafted first round 10th overall by Blue Jays and turned it down to go to Cal State Fullerton but transferred after his freshman year to go JUCO and then went 18th overall for 2.4 million. Bickford wanted to get back in the draft a year earlier then if he stayed at CSF. Tyler Beede went 21st overall out of high school to the Blue Jays and turned down 2.5 million to go to Vandy and 3 years later was drafted in the first at 14th overall for 2.6 million. I think Watson needs to take it.

I... just don't get baseball signings and eligibiity. It seems like (?) we've had players who actually signed then returned to play for us, though getting a paycheck? Or is it just that players drafted and unsigned were 'retained' by the team that drafted the player, even though they returned to play.

Also confused: who actually left and who stayed overall. Can we get a toddl -type roster chart showing turnover per position, showing class, and incoming signees?

We have signed C Luca Tresh (17th round) to conclude all draft signings.
