I'm optimistic with some of the incoming freshman also. I think Maddox McRee is going to be a pleasant surprise that has flown under the radar because his parents didn't force him into every camp and exhibition to improve his rankings. He is committed to baseball but was a heck of a HS QB at Hickory High and could have been a legitimate two sport guy.

Need 4-6 guys who can come in and compete for legit innings, Lax included, IMO. Going to be interesting to see who/what type of arms the staff goes after. Outside of Nance, not sure we have anyone who demands 30+ innings, as of right now. Going to be a big offseason for the staff and these younger guys because some have potential, but they have to get a decent bit better for us to truly have a good year.
