This is what I was referring to earlier. There is all kinds of shady / stupid going on. Running out of tests, moving locations, not adjusting for said relocation.

Personally, I don't blame the players for not being vaccinated. I agree with Avent that it is something that cannot be forced.Wolfblood said:
It seems that the prevailing sentiment of those that feel the blame falls on the unvaccinated players is that none of this would have happened if all the players had been vaccinated.
Is that really true?
Are you saying that if Jarrett catches a bug or cold with covid like symptoms that the NCAA wouldn't have tested him because he and the entire traveling party had been vaccinated? Perhaps, I don't know.
Assuming they would've tested him and even though he's vaccinated it pops positive for covid. Contact tracing ensues and despite the team being vaccinated enough false positives materialize and the team is eventually considered to have an outbreak.
I know this scenario seems far fetched, but it could happen. The question for me is whether the NCAA rules for testing would have kicked in for a covid like symptom player to include contact tracing and further testing even for a fully vaccinated traveling party.
If so, then that would add a gray area to the black and white opinion that if the players had all been vaccinated then none of this would have happened.
Does anyone know if the NCAA rules for testing would have been triggered with a covid like symptom player despite the team being vaccinated?
I would love to see it, but there is 0.0% chance this happensKing Leary said:

Man I've tried to learn but it's way complicated and way over my head. I'll let others pound the HIPAA drum b/c I have no clue what is or isn't allowed.metcalfmafia said:

As I posted in an earlier comment, HIPAA rules were suspended for Covid, at the start of the pandemic.metcalfmafia said:

That may be true but there are rules around PII (Personally Identifiable information) and I am sure that the information that was allegedly recorded should not have been recorded.Daviewolf83 said:As I posted in an earlier comment, HIPAA rules were suspended for Covid, at the start of the pandemic.metcalfmafia said:

This is accurate. HIPAA is not involved here, but other rules are involved. Not sure people remember the Stanley Cup playoffs from last Fall, but there was a big issue where players were videoed by a television crew while they were being Covid tested. I also know there was no video allowed of my son and his teammates being Covid tested over 60 times last year. This likely applied to all student athletes.Wolfpacker1385 said:That may be true but there are rules around PII (Personally Identifiable information) and I am sure that the information that was allegedly recorded should not have been recorded.Daviewolf83 said:As I posted in an earlier comment, HIPAA rules were suspended for Covid, at the start of the pandemic.metcalfmafia said:

It falls under the Privacy Act.
Don’t know about HIPAA but @aholman32 may have broken Nebraska’s recording laws since you were expecting a certain level of privacy during medical testing. https://t.co/ZDHhTcHScT

By the way, just asked my wife about this recording event and her jaw dropped. She is a former HIPAA privacy officer and is responsible for writing the privacy procedures for her current company. In addition to this, she develops all the privacy training for her company's staff. This is why have been very sure about HIPAA and what I have posted.King Leary said:Don’t know about HIPAA but @aholman32 may have broken Nebraska’s recording laws since you were expecting a certain level of privacy during medical testing. https://t.co/ZDHhTcHScT

It has been mentioned as one of the reasons why someone would not have worried about being vaccinated, if they had antibodies (and more importantly) T-Cells from prior infection. It does depend on when the infection occurred, but if within 90 days, people previously infected with Covid do not need to be tested. They do test if infection was beyond 90 days, but it is likely these people are still protected from past infection.BigLefty24 said:
Here's a question that I don't think has even been mentioned (unless I missed it along the way) but is a very important part of this entire sh*t show.
Our program basically shut down for two weeks earlier in the year (late March I believe) because of a COVID outbreak. No one has even discussed the previous exposure of our players to COVID. So, not only were they testing vaccinated players with a PCR testing method that has been shown to likely show false positives, but they also very well could have been testing unvaccinated players that had already been previously exposed to COVID and already contained COVID antibodies.
NC State absurdity, US hammer thrower wants to be Kap, Buffalo Wild Wings out of wings, Scottie Pippen says Phil Jackson is racist, Apple Daily closes in Hong Kong, Bill Maher is "angry white man" per MSNBC, just 4% of Dems believe covid is over https://t.co/4Bx9ESgAuq

All this said, if we had won the game on Friday would Vanderbilt still be playing tonight or do they just name MS State the winner?
Hell no are you insane? They need to lose and lose worse than a Friday Super Regional game in Fayetteville, AR.Bas2020 said:
Shouldn't we actually be rooting for Vandy?
That would make the entire country call them "illegitimate" champ and that NC State deserves it.
It would further make a mockery out of the NCAA.

And I'm not a fire _____anybody kind of guy . I want our coaches to be supported and our administration that works hard to be supported . But I am dissatisfied with Boo on this . He has several areas to attack and make a case and he's just not stepping up . Being passive is not a good look right now.
The CDC has no contact tracing or quarantine requirement for vaccinated individuals who have been exposed to a COVID positive individual so the vaccinated guys shouldn't have been ruled ineligible eitherBas2020 said:
Sounds like some lawsuits coming by reading the twitter tea leaves ... not from the school but from the players and parents . Discrimination case.
If my son posted 7 straight negative tests and did not fall within exposure to be in contact tracing I would sue also. The NCAA placed players in contact tracing just because they are unvaxxed not because they were in close contact or exposed. Those weren't even the rules during football .
Agreed. I ran into a couple MSU fans in the lobby today with NC State hats on and MSU shirts. They planned to wear them to the game in protest of what happened to usgriff17matt said:Bas2020 said:

After the love MissSt fans showed us, I hope Vandy doesn't score a single run and gets absolutely boat raced out of every game.
