Here's my question, who is at risk if we play?
Can't be the other team. We aren't in contact six feet for fifteen minutes to trigger contact tracing despite having played Vanderbilt twice, right? If we were, they would be testing their vaccinated players right now, you know, for player safety.
Can't be the umpires. No word of them sending umps home despite officiating a game with our four "sick" vaccinated players Friday.
Definitely isn't the fans. Let's tweet out some attendance numbers some more! Show some guy drinking beer from a shoe in the stands. No masks required! No testing required! Don't care about those 22k folks once they've bought their tickets.
So, as far as I see it, the only people whose safety is at risk is our players. I wonder if those guys feel unsafe?
So, the rules are the rules. We agreed to it. Seems some of the things aren't being applied evenly, but whatever, rules is rules. Let's just drop the "player safety" charade.
Just a guy on the sunshine squad.
The Gatekeeper.
