Last Time Out
The Wolfpack clinched its fifth ACC series win of the season last weekend when it took two of three at Boston College. The squad held off a late rally by the Eagles on Friday to win game one, 6-5, then put together a dominant 16-4 performance in game two on Saturday to take the series. Despite putting runners at second and third with one out and the go-ahead run at the plate, NC State came up short in game three, 3-1, and the Eagles avoided the sweep.
The Series
Wednesday will be the 32nd meeting between the teams as the Wolfpack owns an 18-13 advantage in the all-time series.
Last Time Versus Coastal Carolina
Wednesday will be the second meeting between the teams in 2019, as the Pack traveled to CCU's Baseball at the Beach Tournament on Feb. 24. The Wolfpack won, 7-6, in 11 innings in the last meeting, battling back from a 6-0 deficit in the third and tying the game in the fifth with four runs. The game remained tied until the 11th inning when Patrick Bailey hit a go-ahead homer.
