Bradbury: "We Have Good Competition Right Now"
NC State senior center Garrett Bradbury met with the media after the Wolfpack's first practice of fall camp.
Thoughts on not opening with a high-level name team...
This is not coach's talk, I could care less who we play first game. Once we get a week before the firs game... today was day one.
We won't start game-planning until the end of this month. We have a lot of time to individually focus on our craft, our technique, and compete against our defense.
We won't focus on James Madison... I couldn't have told you the schedule two weeks ago. We talked about the schedule in the first meetings of fall camp, but I couldn't have told you the schedule.
Between now and James Madison, what does your unit need to work on?
As a unit, just building depth, finding those six, seven, eight guys.
We have good competition right now. I don't want to say me, T, and Tyler are penciled in to start because we are always competing, but we have a good competition on the right side.
Someone will rise to the occasion, someone will stand out. That's the fun part of fall camp for the players and coaches... just figuring out who that would be.
Guys off the grid from your unit, who would you recommend Wolfpack fans keep an eye on?
Do they know any linemen? Do they know any of us?
Wolfpack fans probably do. They are pretty rabid.
Josh Fedd-Jackson is doing a good job at right guard. Justin Witt, Joe Sculthorpe, all of those guys have one start under their belts that I know of.
Then Kendall Brown and Tyrone Riley... both of those guys.
