-Returning four starters from last year's team that went 20-14 and advanced to the third round of the Postseason WNIT.
-Currently 8-1 at home this season.
-13th nationally in offensive rebounds per game (16.0).
-26th in steals per game (11.1).
-27th in 3FG defense (.269).
-37th in turnovers forced per game (20.4).
-Freshman Elizabeth Balogun leads all players in scoring with 15.4 points per game. She has won ACC Freshman of the Week honors four times so far this season.

Now ND is probably POed that they lost (particularly to an unspectacular UNC team). Glad we don't play them for a couple of weeks.

20-0 is a really amazing record for this team! How many people really thought they'd be undefeated at the end of February? Then add in the loss of 2 starters and a veteran key reserve for the season, bringing them to a seven player rotation and it becomes even more improbable. What a gritty, disciplined, determines and confident group this must be. And what an amazing coaching job by Wes Moore! I've heard more than one national analyst state that he's the front runner for national coach of the year. Certainly hard to argue against that right now.

The ninth-ranked NC State women's basketball team (21-2, 8-2 ACC) narrowly fell in its first top-25 road contest of the season on Thursday night, losing at No. 24/19 Florida State by a final score of 75-70.


NC State has a bye date on Sunday, Feb. 10 and returns to action at No. 15/14 Syracuse on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Tip-off from the Carrier Dome is scheduled for 7 pm with live streaming coverage provided by ACC Network Extra/WatchESPN.

Wow! That's four season ending injuries in one season. I've never heard of a basketball team experiencing so much trouble. I feel bad for everyone involved. Hang in there, ladies!
