TOP 10 PLAYS: No. 6 Jay Sam's 1-Hander vs. Clemson
July is here, which means football is right around the corner!
This week we started a month-long feature at Inside Pack Sports where we look back at NC State's top offensive and defensive plays from the 2017 season.
The plays are selected on a variety of factors, ranging from level of difficulty, overall impact, importance to the game/season, etc...
James, Steve, and Bryant reviewed the best plays and submitted their top ten plays on each side of the ball. We put together a composite list, and we will be releasing each play daily, so enjoy!

Star Jaylen Samuels makes the list with No. 6 in our Top 10 offensive plays for the 2017 season... his one-handed touchdown grab against Clemson.
This wasn't a long pass or anything like that, but it shows you a few things. First of all, Samuels is a natural pass-catcher. This isn't an easy catch to make. Jay Sam has to stop his momentum open up his body and make the one-handed grab.
At first it appears to be a bad pass from quarterback Ryan Finley, but if you watch the replays you'll see that a Tiger linebacker is closing in on Samuels so if Finley leads his receiver the pass could potentially be intercepted and he puts Jay Sam in a position to take a hard hit.
Finley throws the pass to Jay Sam's back-shoulder, allowing him a chance to make the catch. Once he does, look at Samuels' awareness. He catches the pass with one-hand and at the saem time he gets low and dives into the endzone for the touchdown.
That play came at a critical time for NC State. The score was tied at 14 and that touchdown gave the Wolfpack back the lead.
Obviously, you're going to see Samuels again later on this list, but today his one-handed catch against Clemson checks in at No. 6 in our Top 10 offensive plays from the 2017 season.
