COMMIT ALERT: Killeya-Jones Will Transfer To NC State
Kentucky sophomore forward Sacha Killeya-Jones has decided to transfer to NC State.
A former Top 25 recruit in the 2016 recruiting class, Killeya-Jones played two seasons at Kentucky, averaging 3.3 points and 2.9 rebounds.
The 6-foot-10, 225-pounder had over 30 schools express interest once he announced he was transferring from Kentucky and quickly cut his list to ten: Arizona State, Clemson, Georgetown, Nevada, NC State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Texas, North Carolina, and Wake Forest.
Last week he narrowed his focus to NC State, Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Pittsburgh, and he visited the Wolfpack and Deacs before picking the Wolfpack.
A versatile forward, Killeya-Jones is comfortable handling the ball and making plays on the perimeter. Due to NCAA rules he will sit out the 2018-2019 season which is critical for him because it would allow him to add weight to his frame.
Killeya-Jones will have two years of eligibility remaining.
NC State now has 14 scholarships committed for the 2018-2019 season, one over the NCAA limit.
