Ben Middlebrooks
“We’ve had too many games that have come down to the wire like this. We’ve had too many small mistakes, too many 50-50 balls. We need to control the things we can control. We need to make the right plays at the right times. There have been too many games that have come down to two or three points, and we haven’t been able to figure things out. Really, it’s a lot of small mistakes that have continued to hurt us, and there are a lot of things we have to fix.”
“It’s very frustrating and disappointing, for sure. There are a lot of games we feel like we should have won, and we haven’t done so. It’s tough. There are still a lot of games left, and we can’t let it hold us back. We need to try and build from it.”
“Again, it’s tough. It’s something we’ve got to figure out as a team. We need to come together, and it comes down to the guy next to you, the guy you’re looking at in the locker room. If we want to do it, if we have the will to come together and play better basketball, then I think we have the capability of doing it. It comes down to whether or not we’re willing.”
Jayden Taylor
“Honestly, we have to keep doing it. There are ups and downs in basketball. We’ve just got to take it out on the next team and try not to feel like this after the next game.”
“It is frustrating, very frustrating. We have to minimize mistakes so it doesn't come down to one possession every game and we don’t have to have a crazy play to win.”
“We got good looks. They just didn’t fall tonight.”
