The Denny and jack losses last round were brutal but with how many guys VT has in the finals it would be a stretch to catch them anyway I believe.

Really sucks because I don't think we're going to be gaining ground on VT in the next year.

Unfortunately, everything you said is likely true. It will take portal work like we've never seen to match what VT has coming back and coming in next year.

Redding at the literal last second to grab the automatic qualifier spot.

State cleaning up in the third place match: Vince, Redding, Jack all have taken bronze so far.

State will have 7 AQs for NCAAs. Maybe Brophy gets an at large to make it eight?

Think it would take a lot of luck for Brophy to get an at large spot. Not sure he did enough today to justify one unfortunately.

A really rough day for Will Denny. One of my favorites on this team but he just didn't have it today.

He'll finish fourth and did get an AQ to NCAAs. He's a guy I think could make All American but he'll need to bounce back from these performances.

Yup. And I watched the big 10 tournament on their network, in split screen with multiple mats all day. But ACC couldn't care less so here we are.

I hate the ultimate tie breaker. Put them on their feet and earn a win with a takedown.

IMO he was robbed both a takedown in OT and stalling in the tiebreaker. Hate it for Koy, he WAS the better wrestler tonight

Agreed. State not having a challenge is crap. In the finals, that should be a video review. VT got some nice home cooking throughout the day.

Jack getting a 16 seed is very rough for him. Feel like Koy and Trumble have really favorable draws. Mattys also doesn't look terrible.

Vince is going to have a gauntlet but hopefully he can summon some magic and go on another run. Denny gets a rough draw as well getting blaze in the quarters.

Tough draw for Denny but still believe he can AA - but he'll have to look better than he did last Sunday.
