No National Championships as of yet, but aren't these times starting to get pretty damn close to Tuohy-level quality?

That latest 5000 meters time was a school record, right? (or did I somehow misread that?)

There's been an amazing surge of record-setting performances over the last 2 or 3 years.
When Tuohy was competing (all the way back in 2022 and 2023), she finished her career as arguably the best women's distance runner in NCAA history. Several national championships and several national records. Then the very next year, Parker Valby pretty much blew her out of the water and is the undisputed best. And now, a year later, we have more runners knocking on Valby's door.

Mile (indoor):
January 2023: Tuohy breaks the NCAA record with a 4:24.26. The previous record was Jenny Simpson in 2009 with 4:25.91.
Since Tuohy did it, Simpson's time has now been broken 9 more times, including a new NCAA record in February 2025 by Silan Ayyildiz of 4:23.46. That's 14 years without being beaten, and then beaten 10 times in 2 years.
Grace Hartman is 3rd in NCAA history with 4:24.76 from February 2025. Tuohy remains 2nd in NCAA history.

3000 (indoor):
February 2023: Tuohy smashes the NCAA record with a 8:35.20. The previous record was Karissa Schweizer in 2018 with 8:41.60.
Since Tuohy did it, Schweizer's time has now been broken 5 more times. Tuohy still holds the record, and it's now the oldest NCAA record for women's distance running, at a whopping 2 years and 3 months old.
Grace Hartman ran a 8:46.57 this year. A really good time, but not mind-blowing (yet)

5000:
May 2023: Tuohy runs the 2nd fastest ever in 15:03.12. Jenny Simpson still held the record of 15:01.70 that she set in 2009.
Since then, Simpson's time has now been beaten 11 more times. Parker Valby smashed the NCAA record with a whopping 14:52 to be the first NCAA woman ever under 15, which she then did 2 more times, and then 4 other runners have now also done.
Grace Hartman ran a 14:58.11, breaking Tuohy's school record and is 5th in NCAA history.

10000:
Tuohy only ran the 10k once with a decent time of 32:56.75, for 6th in NC State history and not significant in NCAA history. NC State record was Ally Hays at 32:21 in 2023. NCAA record at the time was Lisa Uhl in 31:18.07 fro 2010. Valby shattered that record in 2024 with a 30:50.43. Uhl's time has been beaten 2 more times since then.
Grace Hartman ran 31:20.60, good enough for 4th all time in the NCAA.

Note that track records can be tough to keep track and count of at times. In the 5k, Valby has 3 of the top 6 times in history, but she only counts once as a person. https://trackandfieldnews.com/tfn-lists/collegiate-all-time-list-women/ (list is out of date by a month) - Note how Lexy Halladay has the 6th fastest time in the 5k but is the 4th fastest person. It all just depends on how you're counting...

But, in summary, yea, Hartman has become a full-on superstar. School records in the 5k and 10k. Top-5 all-time NCAA marks in the mile, 5k, and 10k. Tuohy still holds school records in the mile and 3k with top-5 all-time NCAA marks in the mile and 3k.

Grace Hartman set a new ACC Championship meet record in the 5,000 meters, and Xavier Branker broke the program record in the 400m hurdles on the final day of the ACC Outdoor Championships, where several athletes earned All-ACC honors for the Wolfpack.
Hartman delivered another standout performance, winning the 5,000 meters in 15:12.03 to shatter the previous meet record and secure the championship title. She now holds both the ACC and meet records in the event.
Sam Bush and Angelina Napoleon followed with strong performances of their own. Napoleon placed fourth in 15:40.45, and Bush finished fifth in 15:44.30. Both earned Second-Team All-ACC honors.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Branker broke a 45-year-old program record with a personal best of 49.69 seconds, finishing second and becoming the program's all-time best in the event.
Patrick Tuohy clocked a 1:48.87 in the 800 meters to finish sixth and earn Second-Team All-ACC honors.
Christian Hackett cleared 2.06 meters in the high jump to finish sixth, also earning Second-Team All-ACC honors.
