The NC State wrestling team landed three athletes on the podium at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
Trent Hidlay became a two-time national finalist,
Ryan Jack finished seventh for his first NCAA podium, and
Kai Orine claimed the eighth place spot.

Trent Hidlay were the three lone wolves to survive to the final day of the NCAA Championships and earn All-American honors.
In the heavily-anticipated matchup, Hidlay wrestled Penn State's No. 1 seed Aaron Brooks in the 2023-24 season finale championship match to finish out his collegiate career a two-time national finalist. In the final bout of the of the tournament and season, he came up short in a 1-6 decision, receiving his first and only loss of the season.
The five-time All-American is set to compete at the U.S Olympic Trials next month alongside his teammate
Isaac Trumble.
In the morning session Orine and Jack wrestled at the same time on side-by-side mats to determine their placement on the podium. Jack walked away with a 4-3 decision to end his season and secure 7th place, his only career podium finish at the national tournament. Orine was downed by a 5-10 decision to end his season and finish 8th on the podium.
