Faison is defeated in overtime by Minnesota's Cramer, this was the final match of his collegiate career.

Upon completion the semester he will join the Army and serve our country.

Seriously? Overrated? We were tied 4th at the end of yesterday. IN THE COUNTRY. If ANY of our major sports programs were at the level wrestling was of being spoken of nationally annually we wouldn't be able to contain ourselves.

You can be disappointed. But "overrated" and "flopping" are absolutely not the correct terms here.

tough turnaround in the 3rd for Trephan. He was right there for his own takedown then got it turned around on him

same with Camacho. Felt like he was in there then gets it turned around on him. Tough back to back results. 5 guys left

Our guys had ended so many periods on bottom. You just can't leave points out there like that when these matches are so close.

Just didn't like that no since of urgency after the take down knowing how important one point can be which ended up deciding the match.

For the second time in his career, Trent Hidlay will return to the NCAA Wrestling Championships final round after defeating South Dakota State's Tanner Sloan 4-1 in the semifinal match Friday night. The championship match will be aired at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN Saturday night.

After day two of the national championships at the T-Mobile Center in downtown Kansas City, only three members of the Pack survive and advance. Saturday morning, Kai Orine and Ryan Jack will wrestle in the consolation bracket to determine whether they will be dubbed seventh or eighth place. Hidlay will wrestle his longtime foe, Aaron Brooks of Penn State, to determine whether he is crowned a national champion for the first and only time.

Three wrestlers were named All-Americans from winning their first bouts of the blood rounds. Hidlay joined the five-time honors club, Orine picked up his second-straight and Jack earned his first-ever All-American honor.

Hey, if you think it's great to come into the tournament projected to finish 2nd based on seeding, but then perform poorly and finish outside the top 10, then more power to you, and good for you to accept underachievement.

I will continue to support the program. This is constructive criticism. I want this program to live up to its potential and achieve greater things.

You can't have high expectations as a State fan…if one of our teams underachieved during the year and we mention it then we become bad fans.

Ouch.

(I could very well be misinterpreting what this stat means, or maybe we really should wait until all matches are done before looking at this page)
