Upon further thought, the three non-championship cars that stayed out definitely had an impact as well as all those non-championship cars that only took two tires... if it's just like Larson, Blaney, and Hamlin then Hamlin makes those passes and wins - but even when he made a strong move on the restart there was nowhere to go due to the sheer amount of traffic stacked up in front of him. Tough one for sure.
He didn't need the 4 tires, he needed the track position.
Still not a fan of the Phoenix track as the championship site though.

The million dollar question is where is he going? This young man has a ton of potential and I agree, can't wait to see what he can do in Cup.

Yeah it's a good point, I'm just kinda rolling the dice that he's gonna find a seat or part time seat this silly season. Him and his best friend Connor are fantastic young talents.

I can see that. I've heard that next year will be crazy, every major team has at least one contract year driver up. Probably why this year's silly season was slow.
Connor Zilisch will drive the No. 88 at Trackhouse next year with Shane van Gisbergen using the No. 97, which he drove in Supercars.

I follow NASCAR as a casual fan and our family has a big season racing fantasy league but I'm not too up to date on the contract situations. The two seats that immediately come to mind that seems to be up in the air after next season is the 48 and the 2. By your comment it sounds like there will be several more.
