Yup

Trying to remember if Byron ran out front most of the February race, or if he purposefully slipped to the rear for about the first half of the race, before he moved back up with the leaders? Either one of his two Daytona wins, or a Talladega win, that was what he did.

I would say that starting in the rear at Daytona might not be too penal in the big picture, but that stop and go causes him to be immediately out of the draft and in danger of getting lapped I would think.

Is that something new?

I don't think the stop and go is new, the reason for such a harsh penalty is that they made a change after inspection. So either a official saw it or someone ratted them out. And I agree starting in the back at this race isn't much but that stop and go could really hurt.

Yep. He's going to need an early caution somehow. Either while he's still on the lead lap, or while he's the lead car down a lap... any kind of bad luck with any of that and he may be in a kind of trouble that he won't be able to get out of.

Of course, he could try the Logano ******** maneuver of throwing himself right in front of the freight train as it gets ready to pass him by... and no, I'm not serious about that comment whatsoever. I think that was one of the most dangerous things I've ever seen done on a superspeedway, and couldn't believe that NASCAR actually let him get away with it... next time someone tries that one, I bet they get run over.

Not really sure. I think it's going to take some time considering that Trackhouse has leveled off some. Right now just about everything he has driven is a Jr / Hendrick built car. But he has a big upside.

Yes. He may be already. Needs good equipment. Right now JRM is giving him excellent equipment and it shows
