@USANetwork got 2.174 million viewers for Sunday's NASCAR race at Iowa, down from 2.693 million for the inaugural Cup event there last year in mid June, but still good enough to be the most-watched sport event of the weekend.

I get that the playoff points are gone, but why even park him? One of the dumbest rules on the books, and that's saying something.

Wished Jay would have provided a map of the track with the turns all numbered. Couldn't find one on NASCAR, Watkins Glen, or through Google either.

Do they use it at the beginning of the race as well, or only on restarts... not much information out there with details.

No problem. I think, turn 7 will be for all restarts including the beginning of the race. Probably for the teams and fuel mileage.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Agree, and I think he was 6th best in group one just now in CUP practice.

Bad look coming back from being parked. At some point it isn't situations but a pattern. This is a big reason why I hate the wavier rule, takes the teeth out of parking someone.

Listened to the race while driving to the beach. Every once in a while, the radio is still the best way to keep up with a race. The wreck sounded like a big one, for sure…

Sad news from Bowman Gray Stadium,
Veteran racer Robbie Brewer has passed away after having a heart attack which ended in a collision in turn 4. Prayers for the family,friends,and fans.

Yea, my time being here is going to be limited after this week. My wife is working her last year as a Teacher, in the Wake County School System; so, she is heading back, with me, later this week.

After that, we will have more hit and miss trips down east, for a while…
