Pretty good race between Aric A and Connor last night. The veteran got the upper hand.

Hate to see the 12 go out.

Obviously that was a painful race for me to watch. Was going great and then... it wasn't.

Usually, I am not very happy when Denny Hamlin wins a race, but for whatever reason this past week I was... well, kind of anyway.

At least it wasn't Logano.

Would not be upset if Hamlin won the championship.
It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great.

You could tell that win meant something to DH.

Sunday is the wild card in the playoffs. Which contender is going to get caught up in the big one? Byron, Elliott, Logano, and Blaney all below the cut line with Talladega and Martinsville to go.

Lot of drivers got some work to do over the next couple of weeks. There is a real chance that Ford doesn't have a car in the championship race.

Thought yesterday's Xfinity race was pretty good. Not a surprised to see the 21 get the win. That penalty at Indy killed his chances of racing for a championship. Hopefully he learned something but I'm not holding my breath.

Yesterday was a clean race for the most part. Some heavy hitters are in jeopardy of being left out.

3 Gibbs drivers pretty much locked in to the Final 4 already is impressive. Their 4th team even ran good yesterday at times.

They sure did. I think Larson is the 4th one in.

I agree. Short of an outright win, that 31 / 32 points that either Logano or Byron would have to make up is going to be next to impossible.

Especially on a true, true short track without any threat of "The Big One".

Edited to correct: Byron is 36 points out and Logano is 38 points. They are both in no better shape than Blaney or Elliott. All have to win to move on.

What would be even wilder than one of them actually winning and getting in, is what would happen to either Christopher Bell or Kyle Larson now just two points apart and neither with a win in this round. Either one of them somehow getting bumped at this point would be nothing short of insane.

If I had to pick just one driver to watch out for at Martinsville, it would probably have to be Blaney.

Can't. Count. Him. Out.

Don't sell Hamlin short. He won at Martinsville in March and had 6 wins total since 2015. That could lead to a points battle between Larson and Bryon who are tied in points. Then you still have Logano, Blaney and Elliott.

To mark its last race as title sponsor, Xfinity has made the final stage of next week's @NASCAR_Xfinity championship commercial free on The CW, including no double-box ads.
: "As our time as title sponsor comes to a close, we wanted to do something special to say thank you."
