After its rather successful play last fall, @PackMensGolf is primed to make a statement in its upcoming spring schedule.

McPhaul: "We got a team that loves the game, that loves to play the game and loves to compete at it."

Spencer Oxendine led the Pack with a six-under par performance to finish in a tie for seventh place. It's the best finish of the season for the Fayetteville, N.C., naive and his third top-10 performance.

Maximilian Steinlecher was next for the Pack, one shot back of Oxendine in a tie for 11th place. Steinlechner has now finished under-par in all seven tournaments he's competed in for NC State this season.

The NC State Men's Golf team wrapped up the final round of the Stitch Intercollegiate on Saturday, finishing the tournament in a tie for second place with 13th-ranked Notre Dame.

Hosted by the Wolfpack at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State was led by Maximilian Steinlechner and Easton Paxton who each finished the week with three-under par scores of 213 in the final round.

After the opening day of competition was halted prematurely due to darkness on Friday, the Pack finished round two of competition Saturday morning before beginning round three. Both Steinlechner and Paxton finished the second round with under-par scores of 71 and 70, respectively.

Steinlechner and Paxton each finished in a tie for second place, which served as Steinlechner's third top-five finish and his second runner-up finish of the season, while Paxton's performance was his best finish of the year and his second top-five finish thus far.

Additionally, Carter Graf earned his second-consecutive top-20 finish, finishing with a 72 (E) in round two and a 73 (+1) in round three.

Ethan Choi was one of just three players in the field to fire a round under 70 on the weekend, with a round-three 68 (-4) on Saturday. Choi's 68 was his second-lowest 18-hole score of the season.

Rounding out the team scoring was Spencer Oxendine, whose Saturday scores of 74 (+2) in round two and 79 (+7) in round three were enough to place him in a tie for 51st place.

Thomas Deal, Brandon Einstein, Jake Herring, and Jake Wiktor each competed as individuals for NC State, with Einstein leading the way in a tie for 55th. Wiktor finished the week in a tie for 60th, while Herring followed close behind in a tie for 68th and Deal finished the week in 77th.

The Wolfpack's runner-up team score was NC State's fifth time this season finishing in the top-two as a team, led by a pair of one-two finishes at each of the team's two tournaments at Lonnie Poole.

Next up for the Wolfpack will be the I-40 Cup at Carolina Country Club in Raleigh, N.C., against Duke on Friday, April 15.
