With Boston winning, the Hurricanes won't know their first round opponent until Tuesday.

Carolina can clinch the No. 1 seed tomorrow, and it was possible for Ottawa to clinch WC1 tonight (and slot Boston at WC2).

Now we'll have to wait until the results of the Bruins and Senators games on Tuesday.

That first punch by Staal landed right on Tkachuk's chin and it was over. Nice game 1 win. Hope they can keep up the physicality. Need to get Aho and Jarvis going.

Canes fans are making it rather difficult to hate them. I've never experienced a more pleasant group of opposing fans in my comment section. Here's just a few of the comments. The difference between these comments and the ones I got from Toronto fans last year is hilarious .
