No chance we get Chatty tonight. I just saw Todd Gibson's video from practice and he is still incredibly gingerly with his skating and is wincing a ton. Nikishin was with the extras as well, so we'll probably get Morrow again for some reason. RBA has earned the benefit of the doubt though. Hopefully he has a better game than G1.

The Canes are being manhandled by Florida. It looks like high school age players playing against grown men. The Panthers have imposed their will and are bigger, smarter, tougher and meaner than the Hurricanes.

I believe 4 of the goals either were tipped or hit a Cane's player and deflected. Last goal was deflected by Orlov and Barkov. Right now it's no contest and unlikely to change.

Wolfhowl, sorry your first playoff experience turned into such a stinker. My son, his wife, and my grandson went last night too. They also had to suffer through it.

A come to Jesus meeting needs to be had before G3 in Florida. I don't expect them to win both down there, but dammit their last experience in Raleigh doesn't need to be getting boo'd off the ice between periods. They need to have some damn pride.

I luv me some Canes but I saw this coming. Would not be surprised to see them lose in 4 just like 3 years ago. As mentioned before we are not built to go up against the Panthers. We are a good regular season team but not big enough and mean enough to win at this stage of the playoffs. Aho is good but he is not going to lead this team to the promised land.

I think the "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" offense is decent in the regular season but just isn't good enough when you face a team that has a legitimate offense and players that can put the puck in the net. There's a reason Rantanen didn't want to be in that offense. Rod HAS to go back to the drawing board with his offensive philosophy.

Woof. What a first experience. LOL Will say, LOVE the Lenovo when it's rocking like it was doing until about 1:17 into the game and Florida scored. Pre-game was fun and we did have a good time there despite the result.

We stayed till the bitter end even with the outcome never being in doubt.

At least we did get to do one goal celebration (before it was yanked off the board!). LOL

I'm predicting, for some reason, we win one in FL and take it back to Raleigh.

No doubt it can get loud in the arena. The pregame light show they are doing now is pretty neat. Hopefully your next experience will be a win and it will feel like the roof is coming off the building.

I was getting ready to text my son after Aho's goal, but then I saw them take the timeout and I knew they were going to challenge. The puck did come out of the zone, so it was indeed offsides.

I hope your prediction is right, but I have seen nothing to think it will happen. Maybe they will surprise in Sunrise tomorrow. Glad you got to go despite what you had to see from the Canes. LOL

They were right there Saturday night at the start of the 3rd period. Killed off the power play and it was still 1-1, then Robinson beat Bob and hit the post. Panthers scored next shift because of a mistake and then it was pretty much over after that. Need that same effort tonight but have to do it for 3 periods.

Not very optimistic for a win but we shall see.

Canes need to get a goal early and play from the lead for once. Panthers need to feel a little pressure at least.
