Leafs and Panthers will go to 7! Have to think it's good for us that they'll be extra tired. Hoping for the Leafs because it's a better match-up, but Florida would be nice because we'd have home ice

Brind'Amour said Chatfield is the one guy in doubt for tomorrow. Said he'd probably need to participate in a practice to be good to go. Hurricanes do have a full skate tomorrow morning.

So I'm going to game 2 on Thursday and it's my first ever NHL hockey game. Been to minor league games in the CLT area but never NHL. Very excited about that as I've been watching them since we got FanDuel to be able to watch the Hornets this season and of course all the playoff games.

Anyways, random and weird question, do they give out the white towels you see being waved before the game or should I bring one?

Also, naturally, I can't find ANY Hurricanes clothing in my area so will have to pick up some down there, which is fine, just annoying as I like to be prepared. lol

The towels are placed on the seats and will be there waiting for you! The red and white shop sells some Canes stuff iirc, but you can also hit up a local DSG if you want to get something before you get there. There is a ton of stuff in the Eye (the team store in the arena) and it opens before the game as well!

I hope you have a blast, there really isn't anything like it! LGC!

Awesome, thank you for that! Unfortunately here in Mooresville our DSG carries ZERO Hurricanes stuff, nor does Academy, Kohl's or Target. lol I am staying at the Four Points near the stadium so hopefully can walk over and grab some stuff before the game in the team store.

Excited to cheer them on and see Lenovo rocking again!

If you are sitting in the lower level, be prepared to have your ears ringing for a while after the game. I have never sat in the upper level for a playoff game, maybe any game, but I am sure it gets loud up there too. Down near the ice it will be an awesome feeling.

Have a great time!

Freddy better get his head in the game. Also, Morrow ain't ready. Need Chatfield back asap. I thought Nikishin did a better job vs Washington than Morrow did last night. Maybe the numbers tell a different story but that's what my eyes saw.

Nope, your eyes were absolutely right. At least 3 of those goals were either because, or partially because of, Morrow.

I can't help but think the only reason that he was in is because he plays the same side as Chatfield, and playing Nikishin would mean that Orlov has to play his off side because he's the only one that can talk to him, but they picked on Morrow all night. Chatfield cannot get healthy soon enough.

I texted my hockey chat my theory pregame the only reason Morrow got in ahead of Nikishin was the fact that Nikishin cant speak English yet. I feel like that theory was vindicated last night. I like Morrow a lot and I expect hes going to be in the rotation next year, but he is not ready for the playoffs yet.

If Chatfield cant go Thursday, I fully expect Nikishin to be in the lineup. You cannot let Morrow back in after last night

That was rough. And I don't think I realized we had a 13 game ECF losing streak heading into tomorrow night's game two.

But, maybe what the Panthers didn't count on for game two, is me and a friend attending and breaking that streak to get us a win and some momentum! I can feel it.

Now if I can just talk her into leaving work a little bit earlier so we can make the trek over to Raleigh and have time to tailgate a bit, that would be perfect!
