The NC State women's golf team wrapped up play in its second tournament of the spring season on Tuesday at the ARLTWF Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate, hosted by Purdue at The Founders Club in Sarasota, Fla.
The Wolfpack finished 13th out of 15 teams with a combined 48-over par 912 (308-291-313). The second-round score of 291 (+3) marked a season low for the squad.
No. 10 Oklahoma State won the inaugural tournament with a 15-under 849 (288-279-282), while its own Maja Stark took home medalist honors among the 75-player field with scores of 66, 66 and 69, in respective order, to finish with a 15-under 201 for the tournament.
For the second-straight week Monika Vicario was the low scorer among the Pack, finishing in a tie for 31st with scores of 75, 72 (E) and 76, respectively, for a tournament total of 223 (+7).
Natalie Armbruester finished behind Vicario in a tie for 48th with an 11-over 227, turning in scores of 76, 73 and 78. Her 73 in the second round marked a season-low performance.
Isabel Amezcua finished in a tie for 52nd, shaving off three strokes from her performance in her collegiate debut at the UCF Challenge. She shot 76-74-78 for a 228 (+12) total, and the second-round score of 74 is a career best in her freshman season.
Lea Klimentova finished 64th among the individual standings, shooting 81-72-81 for a combined 234 (+18). Her 72 in the second round marked a season-low score.
Ryann Sinclair rounded out the lineup for the Pack with scores of 85, 85 and 86 to finish 74th with a 256 (+40) tournament total.
NC State returns to competition Feb. 21-22 when it makes its first of two trips to South Carolina this semester for the Palmetto Intercollegiate. The tournament will be hosted by College of Charleston at Turtle Point Golf Course in Kiawah Island, S.C
