The #8 NC State women's tennis team (6-0) is set to host the ITA Kick-Off Weekend Jan. 24-25 at the J.W. Isenhour Center. The squad will compete in its fourth consecutive kick-off, and enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed. #21 Florida, Oklahoma and Rice round out the field for the regional site.
Teams are guaranteed two matches, as the winners and losers of the first day of competition will play the following day. The winner of the regional will advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Chicago, Illinois, at the XS Tennis Village on February 7-10, 2020.

SCOUTING RICE:Rice enters the tournament 1-0 in dual matches. Last season, the Owls won the Conference USA Championship.
Anastasia Smirnova checks in at No. 86 in singles, and in doubles Smirnova is tabbed at No. 37 with Priya Niegoda.
The Pack hasn't matched up with Rice in dual match action in 13 years, but NC State took a 5-2 win in 2007.
SCOUTING FLORIDA:#21 Florida opens its dual season this weekend.
Three singles player are nationally ranked for the Gators: No. 37 McCartney Kessler, No. 88 Layne Sleeth and No. 96 Victoria Emma.
The all-time series between NC State and Florida is deadlocked at 1-1.
SCOUTING OKLAHOMA:Oklahoma opens its dual slate this weekend.
In singles, Martina Cappuro (No. 87) represents the Sooners in the rankings. Teammates Jasmine Asghar and Oleksandra Korashvilli are ranked 27th in doubles.
