Just got two bottles of Social for 10 bucks at the Johnston County ABC store.

Sounds kind of like finding those yellow label meat markdowns at Food Lion...

"Manager's Special"

lol…yup. The only problem is that the supply is getting small and I don't see them adding to the already shrinking shelf.

No doubt. How's that old saying go? Social House Savage Wolves Vodka looks like it must be "going the way of the bison"

(*although "the bison" are making a really nice comeback out West, not sure the same can be said for SHSWV - which is too bad, the vodka itself was pretty good. I liked it personally anyway - but no reason to purchase going forward without the Savage Wolves logo on it)

NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT OPEN ANY BOTTLES YOU MAY STILL HAVE. YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO REPLACE THEM.

I'm still trying to find myself more of the Olde Raleigh Savage Rye and have been unsuccessful in even doing that either.

Next time you come down to the beach, I may have to ask you to bring me one!

No problem. As for the vodka I was hoping Steve may weigh in but I assume he is busy.

You'd probably have to ask him on Varsity or Elite+ board.

I'm afraid so. Went to the new ABC in Youngsville today for the first time. Looked for that specifically, no luck. No Savage Rye either, but I wanted the vodka for cocktails. The store boss tried to interest me in several whiskeys including that one commemorating the Semisesquicentennial. That one, I'll probably go back and try, at $70 it's still cheaper than Savage Rye. They had a July sale on my old standby, Bulleit 95% Rye, so I walked out with that.

Found some more Savage Vodka today in Wake County. Storm, what were you looking for? I know I can go look it up but I'm lazy.

NOT BOURBON RELATED BUT I AM POSTING DUE TO BEING SOCIAL HOUSE SAVAGE WOLVES VODKA RELATED FOR NCSUPACK1

I have no idea how or why, but I received an email this morning, directly from Social House to a "Red & White Day Party" (game watching party) today from 12 to 6 at High Rail Rooftop at Hyatt House Seaboard Station / Raleigh.

Registration link in email. *don't know how important that is or isn't, but I just thought I should mention it.

I know that they have never shipped to me (can't ship within NC), but I must have signed up for something or gotten on a mailing list somehow I guess?

Anyway just passing along to everyone on the board that might see this in Raleigh.

Good question. I quit buying for awhile and when I needed vodka again, I couldn't find it. Went to ABC tonight and not only didn't see it there but no Savage Rye as well though they had a full assortment of Olde Raleigh products.

Celebrating our national Semiquincentennial with a newly procured bottle of eight year old single barrel YellowStone. Seems appropriate to open it for a game with our oldest rival .

Edit: ok, with the wife and MIL out of town for the weekend, I got restless and opened it before the game. If you like bourbons (I've come to prefer ryes more), it's got a lot of character for lack of more precise superlatives.
