Yep Joiner is a PG. His stats were decent. I think his scoring average would put him second here last year.
his defense is just as good. That's what's importantWolvesWinNow said:

Dream transfer class is
Joiner
Nolly
Rodriguez
Brandon Huntley-Hatfield
That would be 3 starters and a guy who started a lot of games in the sec coming off the bench. To me that would be the making of a solid team
I admire your optimism. One Baby is not likely to come back. Two even if with him and the "dream class" above, we are long way from a top 5 team (I assume you meant in ACC).WolfpackSI said:Packfan8 said:

Oh man this would be a great class. Coupled with Baby T coming back and i think we have a top5 team. Addresses the biggest issues from last year which was interior defense and pg play.
Don't know who the 2nd assistant is gonna be but heard there were talks with Frank Haith. I think that would be a great pickup for us.

I'm not going to jump off into the weeds about the state of the program, but when Terquavion isn't coming back for his 2nd year, after the season he had playing with a bunch of other duds, I just don't know what to say.
Hey, I know that every player in AAU nowadays thinks they are ready to go straight into the NBA out of High School... but this isn't that. This is about that nothing is there for him to even play with next year.
B... b... but the magical "Portal"!!! So far, none of the real action has even had us in a Top 3 scenario... so. I'm not expecting that the portal is going to be this "open highway" available to us to produce an immediate "addition by subtraction" scenario.
A Morsell or a Gantt isn't dramatically changing anything. Neither is a Walker, Lehigh Guy or a Dixon. This has to be multiple Al Freeman's or multiple Devon Daniels' scenario - and I don't see that trending for us right now. There are some great complimentary pieces, but that isn't going to be enough to actually effect things in any meaningful way.
We are where we are... but fantasy needs to meet reality for some of you guys posting on here. This is a dumpster fire right now. Not even sure how or why we got here, but that is 100% where we are.
Wished we weren't.

I am quite adorable actually, but never ending ***** sessions? Not so much.
We're fielding a team next year. Keatts WILL be the coach. No matter how much sand you have in your vagina, those facts will not change. Talking non-stop about how bad we're gonna be is equivalent to screaming at the sky. Except that it's not just useless, it's incredibly annoying after the first thousand times.

This is the new normal. Recruit 2-3 high school kids, get 2-3 guys out of the transfer portal every year.
I don't think you will see schools re-recruit kids like Keatts did with Manny last year. Once that kid shows any inclination to transfer than you let them go and find someone else. This whole scenario is going to play out like pro sports.
There will be zero loyalty between players and coaching staff.
None of the players leaving those teams are impactful. It's not like bacot is leaving UNC, like manny is here.WolvesWinNow said:
Every team in the country has had to deal with transfers...Kentucky, Duke, Kansas and UNC. Whether it's a HOF coach or a first year coach. UNC had a few guys transfer last year. They still had one guy transfer this year. And most likely came up with a ton of NIL cash for Bacot this year.
It's the professionalization of college sports. If/when NC State gets a new coach that won't change having transfers out of the program on a yearly basis. What you hope to have is a coach who can adjust and adapt to whatever lineup he has on a yearly basis or a coach who can identify his type of players in the transfer market every year. But the days of a Fab Five class are gone and getting that top 10 or 25 high school recruiting class will be less and less impactful as guys leave after a year.

Again, i'm tired of the excuses. Just win, but that ain't gonna happen if you cant field a team that could even compete at a D2 level
Man there are impactful players leaving nearly all programs. It's free agency in college.ClePack said:None of the players leaving those teams are impactful. It's not like bacot is leaving UNC, like manny is here.WolvesWinNow said:

Walker Kessler, this years DPOTY isn't impactful?

Instead of seeing every single thing through a lens of crapping on Keatts maybe take a step back and see that there is a seismic change happening in college sports. And it's happening regardless if Keatts is here past next season or not. Whoever the next coach is better have a firm grasp on that or they won't last long.

I mean yes. They've got the benefit of having 4 and 5 stars waiting in the wings, but it's still an impactful player that they are losing lmao. The dude almost averaged 5 blocks a game.

Interesting discussion.
In a way, this new structure provides a perfect cover for bad coaches, because most programs will have the potential to start over each year. So a bad coach can say, "Well, I just had a bad /incomplete roster this year, but I'll go hard to the portal for next year."
