Guess it just surprises me that a guy that was expected to be our franchise pg is likely going to the caa. The other school that is mainly rumored is also a mid major

Hayes is very athletic and can score in a variety of ways. But he simply lacks the ball handling, court vision, and passing skills to be an ACC caliber point guard. Poor KK would put him in to try to bring him along, but what always followed was one or two bone-headed mystifying turnovers, so he would have to pull right back out.
Maybe Siddle can actually teach him so he can thrive.

Cam is really baffling to me. He showed some really good flashes last year and even towards the beginning of this year, for a while he was the only player in the country with an assist rate >20% and a turnover rate <5%. Not sure what happened, but it's pretty clear to me that he needs a fresh start. I think UNCW with Coach Siddle would be a great landing spot for him and I'd love to see him ball out there

I still cant get over the end of that Purdue game where he screwed up the inbounds pass. It doesn't really matter because we suck but that would have been such a huge game for us that we probably should have won

Siddle has been impressive this year the team really bought into him. He should've been the coach once Keatts left UNCW. Instead they hired a terrible coach from a terrible school. But they are looking to bring in 4+ transfers so hayes would be a great pickup for them.

I'm not a member there to read it myself but I have a buddy that uses another site telling me that we are going to be on Gainey or have already reached out. Gainey didn't mention us last week so who knows. That site editor is usually pretty connected for the most part. Grain of salt, since like I said, I'm not a member to read it all myself.

I think Gainey likely has higher expectations than Quinn (and definitely Kendal Coleman, who we just reached out to as well). Other possibilities are that Keatts believes Quinn can play on the floor with Manny, or maybe he's attempting to make a stylistic change
