Next up will be Brandon white, and Wesley tubbs. Both guys that will like to follow dillingham. I have heard we led for Dennis Parker as well but not sure anymore
Posted on Dilly thread:

On an IPS rival's podcast they mentioned that one of the promises made to Dilly by our staff was that he could bring any of his teammates with him. Yes please.

That's pointing to Brandon white who is a top 50 recruit. Already had a future cast to us from last year to

A bit off topic, but does anyone here have a suggestion about the best way to buy tickets for the Holiday Bowl? I live near San Diego, and would love to sit with other Pack fans, maybe even stay at a designated Pack hotel since the game ends late.
Any advice would be appreciated!
I understand Wolfpack Club's travel package hotel is: Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego... But for convenience, I would suggest Hilton San Diego Bayfront, literally 5-minute walk across the bridge to Petco Stadium.

2022 Christian Reeves (Cannon)
Man, it is great to see Reeves back healthy and on the court again and it seems that he is ready to show why he is a rising talent in the country. The 7-footer was dominant all throughout the weekend, showcasing his touch and his ability to dominate down in the post. Reeves is such a unique big with his mobility, his timing, his touch, and is now showing more of his assertive side of his game. He is such a difference-maker for Cannon on both sides of the floor, and with his growing confidence, Cannon looks to be right back in the picture for a state title and his recruitment should continue to take off.

2022 NC Stars

2022 Ifeanyi Ufochukwu (Covenant Day)
Big man Iffy really made an impression on us with his play and should have made an impression with the college coaches. The 6'11 long big showcased his developing skill while still being a true presence defensively in the paint. Ufochukwu uses his wingspan really well in being a rim protector without fouling, while also being a big presence on the boards. Now, he is still a developing talent on the offensive end but you see the flashes and the potential in what he could be at the end. This is why it is intriguing to see why more schools aren't getting involved with his size and potential. He gave us a glimpse this weekend.
Looks like Reeves is going to go to Duke out of no where. A huge project at oak hill but tremendous upside. Wish we had a better situation at center going into next year because he would have been a good big to snag

Not out of nowhere. Duke has had him on campus for unofficial visits and seen a bunch of his games. They have been following him for almost 2 years now. They were part of his reason for going to Oak Hill. They wanted to see him against tougher competition. I have tried to get our staff involved but with no success...just tried to get them to understand his ability.....and athleticism that he has and his determination to be successful in ball and school.

He also has had his interest pick up lately - Gonzaga, UNC, FSU, Alabama, 'Nova are a few that had been in contact. The plan is to redshirt next year so he will have 4 full years after a year of working out and learning the system.

People seem to think that Keatts doesn't coach at all. He's had some bad luck with injuries and players not making campus. I don't think the Bey loss can be overstated honestly. Would have been to the NCAAs his first two seasons and looked like more of a lock in the 3rd before lockdown. Would have improved the outlook of the program to fans and recruits.

It's like this for me, the dude has coached up players since he's been here. Devon Daniels, Jericole Hellems, Manny Bates, etc.

If he can land those top 50-75 kids on a regular basis combined with kids from the portal, I think Keatts is a good enough coach to do some real damage in the ACC and nationally.

I'm not jumping into the piling on of Keatts by some, but why the hell are we talking about Saddiq Bey? Wasn't that four (4) years ago already? We really going to talk about where we are now and reference something that happened four (4) years ago? Geez. Maybe we are worse off then I thought then…

Well the ncaa thing finally ended and we know it's the reason he decommitted and went to Villanova.

Probably because he's in the NBA right now averaging 13 ppg. He was drafted in the first round, and frankly he would've been the most talented player so far in the Keatts era.

At Nova he was really good in 2 years. Won the Julius Erving Small-Forward of the year award in college bball. Unanimous all big east first team. He probably would've helped us make the tourney in years 2 and 3 (if there was one).

If Keatts had 3 tourneys in his 5 years versus just 1, there'd be a different perception on him as a coach.

Not piling on Keatts at all, because I think he's done a fairly good job all things considered. But recruiting hasn't been up to the level that I expected under him. Hopefully with this decision now behind us, paired with Dilly jumping on board, we can start consistently bringing in more higher-end talent. I think if Keatts can start doing that, he will be here a long time

Year 5. Underdogs on a neutral site to a barely .500 Richmond team. Certainly trending in the right direction. But you want specific examples. Carry on , company man. I admire your loyalty. All I stated was Kev needs to significantly upgrade the talent in the program to be successful enough to compete for ACC titles. I do not think he's capable of winning titles based on on what I've seen so far with even above average talent. You're very defensive. Kudos. If I hurt your feeling I apologize. Please don't lash out at your wife or kids. I'd never forgive myself. Long live the Wolfpack.

Signing off,

I'm certain you're very low iq, a keyboard white Knight (Keatts won't F you, I assure you) trying to be a contrarian. You must realize you're in the minority. Maybe you don't. I hope you're on the right side of this.

From the cheap seats, it looks like Keatts could use more bench coaching help. He's extremely slow to change his style in obvious situations and perhaps his lack of a system is a system to the more experienced coaching observers. Would love to have that Lutz type coach to help with some in game changes like maybe a zone even when we are not in foul trouble. And maybe draw up an in bounds play. And passing the ball more. These are things that happen in every game regardless of the opponent.

Hoping this weight off the team's recruiting back leads to getting more of the 4 stars that are closer to 5 stars than 3.

Thank you for actually offering up some examples to back up your opinion, I appreciate that. While I disagree that he doesn't have a system (IMO, he does) I can see how those that prefer a different style think that way. It's not necessarily what I prefer but I'm not a basketball junky with strong opinions either way (well, except for the pack line D. no thx! haha).

James Johnson is that Lutz type but I definitely understand wanting to upgrade there, I get it. As for the zone, some coaches just aren't zone guys. I don't understand it but it's just a different philosophy to some. I guess the thought is that why play it if you don't practice it enough to be "good" at it.

I think Keatts is a "good" coach. I think he and his staff do a really good job of coaching up the kids they bring in. We've seen it. If he can bring in 4 stars (50-100 range) that are good fits for his system (ex. Terquavion, Seabron) then I think we can win some games. Getting a commitment from Dillingham should be a good start as we're led to believe that other really good kids want to play with him. They just need to go ahead and commit as well. ha

If he can continue to grow as a coach, maybe tweak the staff a bit I think he'll be fine. I just don't want to get into the hiring/firing game every 5 or 6 years (and I love a coaching search)

Anyways, appreciate the debate.

Unfortunately it's pretty easy to offer up examples of bad coaching during the keatts era. We don't run an offense, our press is a joke, and we don't play defense. Put me in the boat of people who thinks keatts needs elite recruits in order to overcome his coaching flaws. I wish we'd hire new assistants
