I say we should make it work for Gardner, even if we end up relying on the new kids more than we'd like at guard still a net gain.

He didn't appear to have a stellar season at Providence. I remember us recruiting him out of high school and he was a top 100 prospect. How do we think he game will improve under Keatts?

He's a defense to offense type player. Providence played a lot of half court slow paced. He's best in our type offense

Yea I agree I think he'll be a good fit in our more up-tempo system. Really nice defender, good length and athleticism, solid passing chops (1.7 assist/turnover ratio), 73% at the rim. Obviously he doesn't fill the biggest need since he's not a great shooter, but I think in a limited off the bench role he can operate as a low usage, high efficiency glue guy type who does the little things really well.

Plus he was a top-60ish recruit so potential is definitely there, and I like the idea of continuing to build the NC pipeline.
