How did you do your Sweet Potatoes? Just like a baked potato, sliced, cubed, fries?

Here is another way to consider eating your sweet potatoes...bake them as usual, and then put some apple butter on them. I learned this from an older gentleman in the mountains years ago. Delicious.

I prefer the apple butter to be cold on a warm potato. May sound unusual but it is mighty tasty.

I'm going to try this next time we cook sweet potatoes. Thanks.

I'm on a shrimp kick.....

easy sauces to make are "one part ketchup, one part mayo, and white vinegar"...that melted butter with garlic salt is great too....restaurants never put garlic salt in it, it's just melted butter. Easy stuff and I aint a good cook

Sorry for the late response, been a hell of a work week already. Dont think I took any pics on Sunday, but they turned out alright, if a bit bland. Was going to try to do flour tortilla's last night, but pivoted because I ended up working late and it was an extremely long work day and I just had zero motivation.

Red beans and rice today. Got some local andouille and red beans from the Farmers Market and love to let it just sit on the stove top all afternoon

Man, I'm really, really, really, really excited about tomorrow.

Not Daytona 500 excited, but probably the next closest thing to it - especially since we get it in the middle of the "summer desert". And right in the middle of the ever-flippin' day. Imagine that...

Ah, gotcha. I would love to take some of the grill stuff out there, but we have a small camper grill and Blackstone where we do most of the cooking in my group and usually stick to easy stuff

Test run on the larger primo today and had a thermometer failure. Caught it just in time to wrap the ribs but I'm not impressed with the chefs temp system

Made a good recovery. A little more fall off the bone than I'd like but got some good smoke on them.

Ribs always worry me. They are easy, ( at least for me ) to get wrong. I'm about to start prep for some bbq chicken thighs.

you can always wrap them and recover unless you burn them.
