Los Angeles fires

Looking at the big picture, what confidence can people who lived in the Palisades and these other areas of Los Angeles have to rebuild their homes? Of those who had insurance and weren't wiped out, if they do rebuild, will there even be insurance companies willing to insure their homes? Because as long as the Los Angeles and California government cares more about communist "woke" politics, such as having fat lesbian DEI hires as the "fire chief" and not having water to supply the fire hydrants because they are pretending to "save small fish", rather than actually having competent people running the fire departments and being serious about preventing major fires, then these sort of catastrophic fires are bound to happen again in the future, and insurance companies are going to pull out or jack up their rates astronomically.

And maybe this is all an intentional policy by the communists to destroy peoples' lives and confiscate their land, and drive people out. Look at what the communists in California are doing to businesses. By "legalizing" theft and looting of stores as long as it is under $1,000 per person per day per store, they are causing thousands of businesses to close down and move out of those areas of California that allow this. And there's no way that the communist politicians didn't foresee that such a policy of legalizing theft would cause businesses to close down and leave.

Go back and look at the ideological roots of "Leftist" politics, Marxism. The major goal of the Marxists is to effectively wage war on the middle class (the hated "bourgeoisie" that Karl Marx referred to), and to abolish private ownership of land, and to create an oppressive system of "progressive" income taxes (the 1st and 2nd planks of the Communist Manifesto), and then to have an all-powerful government/State seize the ownership of everything and have unchecked power over every aspect of society (education, agriculture, banking, economy, etc).

The goal of the Marxist Left is to enslave the masses. Anything they can do to deprive us of our property, vastly increase taxes, make it more difficult to just survive and earn a living...all serves the interests of the Marxists to destroy the middle class, and create a huge class of pseudo "serfs" who are controlled by an all-powerful government.

You guys do know the issue with hydrants running dry is with the municipal water system in Los Angeles and not having enough water in the reservoirs?

So, turning on the imaginary magic beans spigot from "pacific northwest and beyond" (no water flows from Canada into California, most if not all of Californias water comes from the Sierra Nevadas) isn't the answer, it is some really good cheap political victory. Hopefully there's a circle back to provide funding to fix the municipal water supply.

My man, I've forgotten more than you'll ever know about the business. Get yourself out a engineering graph pad and work up the #'s for us if you want to prove something.

I can look at a map and easily see where water flows from into California.

Gobbler, I don't have time to f00l with ya. Get your attention elsewhere, maybe stand on a street corner in Raleigh and panhandle. Do a trick or sing, you can be noticed.

I don't think the good people of California care where the water comes from as long as someone turns the spigot on.

The issue ain't the amount of water, it's the plumbing, specifically in Los Angeles. The reservoirs are full. There's no more spigots to turn on. That's why the hydrant's went dry.

Resident believes the fires were a "set up" because the power was not turned off as the fires were raging.

I know this is really hard for some of you to figure out, LOL.

Here's an idea. Pinch yourself 1st. Yep, it's real, OK? By the way, it's literally "in your face" too.
